wasn't expecting it...but it was about time. These guys have been getting progressively worse. I liked Dallas' vocals though, but am not a huge fan of C&C..looks like I'll be stuck listening to Dallas circa 2002-2005 to get my fix.

hearing from everyone. And their tour with La Dispute and Trash Talk was the motherfucking shit,
George sat down behind an organ on The Northern encore and it was the single greatest live song I've
ever seen.

I'm in the same boat, Crisis was my least favorite, only because it's hit-or-miss for me. Some songs are epic, some suck monkey balls.

Very depressing news, one of the best hardcore/screamo/rock bands. I love dallas's voice, but I only love it in Alexisonfire. City and Color is good but they never really grabbed me like Alexis did.

I used to like this band but kinda grew out of it recently. But I remember seeing them play a good show at Warped Tour. Before the show started I snuck backstage and asked them if they were playing Charlie Sheen vs. Henry Rollins. They said "no" and then I said "okay" and left. It was awkward.

Wow finding that out was almost as satisfying as when i figured out why city and colour calls itself that name.

First album had some great guitar work, rest was crap.

they were never gonna top crisis, although I did want to hear this new CD that was "so dark it was gonna make Dog's Blood sound like ska". C&C does suck, at least I get one more Canadian tour. Somehow I've never actually seen them live but only heard good things!

Man, the La Dispute/Trash Talk tour came to like...10 minutes away from where I was at the time.
However, at the time I went through like a death metal phase and didn't really want anythin to do with
post-hardcore. Really wish I went. Always considered these guys as more of an old-school kinda post-
hardcore though, so this doesn't really bother me much tbh.

Don't like City and Colour though. Dallas sounds better in Alexisonfire, and if i'm listening to that
kinda stuff i'd rather listen to Iron and Wine anyways.

these guys were the first band i got into with screaming, way back when watch out came out and i was in grade 8. they've been my favourite band ever since, and i couldn't believe it when i heard they broke up

A shame, not a fan of city and colour myself, but sometimes its good for a band to call it a day if the passion is not there anymore. And who knows, maybe the rest of the guys will go on to form an even more awesome band, lets wait and see.
