Can't say that I'm not disappointed. I though Digital Veil was a very strong album for them and a step in the right direction. I liked it. A lot of potential just went right out the window. Also "Do they not know what hiatus means?" [2]

This has been coming for quite a while now. Still hate to hear it though. Didn't really give Digital Veil much of a chance, but I still think Nocturne is a great album. These dudes always had a lot of potential, just never blew up like they should have...

Damn, as much hate as I'll get for saying this, Digital Veil was my favorite metal album of the year (and I tried really hard to find good metal from all the different sub-genres) and I was blown away when I saw them live. Real shame.

Even though Travis left before the band broke-up I really hope he finds a good band. I like his harsh vocals quite a lot. Just needs to work on the cleans.

The same goes to A.J. Minette because he's a very talented guitar player.

I loved Digital Veil after not having cared for their first two albums (especially Midheaven) much at all. It sucked when Travis left but I thought if they stayed with Ryan from Corelia they could have been better than ever--he's a beast.

Honestly, IDGAF as long as A.J. Minette is still down to play metal elsewhere. He's the brains behind the outfit.

I think Minette is probably going to go back to teaching. Which sucks, because he's talented as fuck, and I want to see him play in a band.

At first I was getting sas but then I figured that except for A.J. THA was nothing (see midheaven).

Nocturne was the album that got me into metal. I will always respect them for that album no matter how much Midheaven sucked and pissed me off. Oh, and Digital Veil was decent.

Digital Veil was a bad album imo and I couldn't even listen to Midheaven. I enjoyed Nocturne 3 years ago. Saw them at the Never Say Die tour as opener with 20 minutes of playtime (Emmure had 45 of course, but live I think they are actually quite cool for people who aren't too much into music) and they were alright.

honestly, the only thing they truly ever did that was awesome and worth getting was nocturne like forever ago. midheaven was garbage and digital veil has the worst cleans ever recorded on it. so, just never lived up to that awesome first album.

I'm super pissed because they toured like 5 times since DV came out and never came anywhere I could see them. They had a show here with As Blood Runs Black but they dropped it. :|

Nocturne is better than Digital Veil anyways. Shame, because I wanted to see how the next album would sound.

I mean, I only 3.5'ed the album - it was mildly entertaining at points - but obviously a lot of people do like it. To say otherwise is just being an asshat.

I love this guys. Loved 1/2 of Nocturne, 3/5 of Midheaven, and completly Digital Veil.
For me Digital Veil was that sweet combination of metalcore and deathcore that worked. And the cleans were INCREDIBLE [for me, obviously]

I have no issue with this band, just not a fan. I've heard awesome and average thing about their latest release. Nocturne wasn't too bad. They just never really sparked my interest.

You should check out Digital Veil BugZoid. I have a feeling you would like it.

Yeah, because about 59classic ratings are legit. It was a bunch of trolls who gave high ratings from the start. If it wasn't for them it would hold a 3.4 or lower average.

Minette's guitar work...but it still seemed to lack something that would make them seem less....warped tourish...after AJ left, they pretty much fell apart and lost their sound...tis a shame really, they had potential but lost it almost immediately
