Rustie details his long-awaited 2nd LP

Hot on the heels of the debut of new single 'Raptor', Glaswegian electronic artist Rustie has confirmed that the long-awaited follow up to his celebrated Glass Swords LP,
Green Language will see an August 26 release, via Warp Records.

The album, which features guest spots from Danny Brown, D Double E, Redinho and Gorgeous Children was "written and recorded at 4am to the sound of birdsong in a remote
location in his native Scotland, influenced by nature, birds and sunrise
".

In commenting on the album's name, which has various implications depending on your choice of mythology (some interpret it as "the key to perfect knowledge"), Rustie had this to say: "It’s a language that’s non-dualistic, that speaks to you directly to your emotions without the mind interfering with the message. And music is like that for me.".

To whoever added this to the database: cheers, but can you not just lazily copy-paste the tracklist from another site. Add it how this site dictates it should be added

This goes hamma than any Rustie track I've heard it the past. I'm semi-hyped now.

Always great to see the staff so supportive of the users who are at least trying to make improvements to the majority of the god-awful news articles that get submitted

'I'm still seriously underwhelmed by this track'

Agreed. Nevertheless, I'm interested in hearing this and seeing what he does with those guest spots.

The more I listen to it, the more bored I am of it. It seems way too simple in comparison to nearly everything from Glass Swords, and I could even ignore that if the track went as "hard" as everyone else seems to think it does, but it just doesn't. He dun goofed on this one

This isn't better than any of the songs I like off of Glass Swords, but it's better than the ones I didn't like.

I mean I like the new tendency tbh but I don't think there's much you can do with an album called Green Language

IDK Dev I've got nothing to say to change your mind because I honestly just hear it different on both levels - I think it's melodically richer than some of his other tracks that go hard and yet still I think that it just... goes hard. I mean Rustie has always been awesome at maintaining a uniquely rich melodiousness when making "bangers", and as much as I love Terra Star and the like, I just feel that glowing aesthetic oozing out of every synth-line here and every transition is just into another section that further boosts its hard-hitting aspect. It doesn't basque in the huge kicks of stuff like City Star/Dope Song but to me it's just more unique because it doesn't rely on that. I fucking love it a lot.

I honestly can't agree that it's melodically richer, because the melody seems to pedestrian and irritating to me. Compared to a tune like 'Surph' or 'Ultra Thizz' this is just repetitive synth banging. I like Rustie because he can belt out a "banger" while still making really intelligent music. This doesn't feel like either
