|

My day has been made.
|
| |
SING AND REJOICE! AND SING AND REJOICE!
|
| |
gonna suck
|
| |
:OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
|
| |
sound like there is gonna be alot of 'space' whatever that means, best news tho they've been planning this comeback for quite sometime now
|
| |
Not gonna suck
Though it might
I dunno
|
| |
this is going to rule
|
| |
bet ars is masturbating to this news
|
| |
Yes!
|
| |
Dope. U.S tour too
|
| |
"gonna suck"
We're talking about Faith No More here. The band has only made 4+ albums since Mike Patton joined. If Dinosaur Jr. can
come back strong, why not FNM?
|
| |
Yaaaaay!
|
| |
jim or die
excited tho
|
| |
Yeah albums with Jim > album without but still /m/
|
| |
I'm kinda scared to hear any of FNM's material past The Real Thing because of the lack of Jim Martin. Oh, well... Great to see these guys making a comeback!
|
| |
gonna 2 it
|
| |
It's all good and this will also be good because reasons
|
| |
Yeah albums with Jim > album without but still /m/
Agreed. He added a whole other dynamic to the band. The guitarists after him lacked any identity... which is crazy considering they had Bungle's guitarist for a little while.
I'm kinda scared to hear any of FNM's material past The Real Thing because of the lack of Jim Martin. Oh, well... Great to see these guys making a comeback! Angel Dust had Jim Martin and is their best album.
I'm not as excited as I could be just because I was never a fan of the post-Jim albums.
|
| |
Aw, shit, thanks for correcting that little mistake.
|
| |
Angel dust was the best by fr but NOT because of Jim imo he was the most underwhelming member at that point in time dunno about TRT or when chuck was running the show
|
| |
King for a Day's guitar work was extremely distinguished. The album lacked the atmosphere of Angel Dust, but the songs riffed just as hard. I will say the guitar barely did what it needed to get by on AOTY though.
|
| |
While I do agree that The Real Thing and Angel Dust are superior to King for a Day and Album of the Year all 4 are still
amazing.
|
| |
Ars, I already got the memo.
|
| |
Angel Dust destroys The Real Thing too. So get on that.
|
| |
Sorry, I didn't read that memo, so I edited the comment.
Hmmm haven't heard FNM's debut but...
1.Angel Dust
2.The Real Thing
3.King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime
4.Album of the Year
5.Introduce Yourself
Replacing Mosely with Patton was probably one of the best calls in rock history.
|
| |
time to stock up on whip-its
|
| |
Chuck Mosely had attitude, I'll say that much. But compared to Mike Patton, yeah... I'm just going to leave it at that.
|
| |
Mosely actually gets the job done on Introduce Yourself, but you compare anyone to Mike Patton and they're going to come
up short.
|
| |
should be good. let's hope it's good
|
| |
the live version of 'Motherfucker' is horrible, here's hoping this is good.
|
| |
Guys this won't suck, it's faith no more
|
| |
AOTY felt like a bit of a creative slump to me so here's hoping they can pull themselves out with this one
|
| |
"Guys this won't suck, it's faith no more"
That's what we thought about Pixies.
I'm keeping my hopes high, but my expectations low.
|
| |
time to stock up on whip-its [2]
|
| |
Gonna rule.
|
| |
"That's what we thought about Pixies"
Yeah but they didn't have Kim on that album. It shouldn't have happened.
|
| |
Gonna Rule [2]
|
| |
"the live version of 'Motherfucker' is horrible"
lol nope
|
| |
Someone put poop in my pants.
|
| |
Ugh I have a reason to live.
|
| |
Well. Last Faith no More album was plain bad. Also all those non-releases live songs that one could hear over the years were not even close to what Faith no More made special back then.
It probably won't suck, but I don't believe in anything really good either.
|
| |
AOTY had quite a few great tracks, even though there were some duds in there too
excited for this even though I agree that the two Jim + Patton albums are their best
|
| |
AOTY is fucking sweet
|
| |
It's good. Seems like most people treat it like its a masterpiece or terrible. It's neither.
|
| |
the time has come....
I ALWAYS KNEW!!!
|
| |
bout time!
|
| |
AOTY is fucking sweet
[2]
|
| |
"oh my jesus fucking shit shit shit shit hsit hsit hist hshist DAMMIT OH MY FUCKING BEAN GARGONZOLA CHEESE SNIFFAS"
Yeah, what this guy said.
Even if it's going to be unimpressive (which is unlikely), it's still awesome of them to be back together in the studio
|
| |
Don't know, 'Motherfucker' wasn't particularly great. We'll see I guess.
|
| |
"Mosely actually gets the job done on Introduce Yourself"
glad someone else feels this way, i personally thought most of the tracks were relatively solid
|
| |
Jim Martin was never big into the songwriting process...in reality. Anyways, my favourite works from them are 'Angel Dust' and 'King For a Day', period. Saw them back in 1995 and woah! For the new album, we'll see what happens..
|
| |
Boy, have the last 5 years been good to comeback bands or what?
|
| |
it's almost like comebacks happen all the time!!
|
| |
AOTY is fucking sweet
[3]
|
| |
YES! Been hoping this would happen ever since they got back together!
|
| |
Doubt they'll tour loads though
|
| |
Faith No More's getting back together? They must be having a
MID LIFE CRIIIISIS
|
| |
but seriously im fuckin stoked for this
|
| |
I see what you did there
|
| |
I can see this being the real deal though, because Patton doesn't need to add this workload unless he really wanted to, he has enough work these days. So it should be a good album... I hope.
