Pretty cool song. I always find myself wishing they had more interesting vocals, but instrumentally this is great.

There is a strong death metal element on this track. While most bands are getting softer, Unearth just keeps getting better and heavier. I loved it.

^ Caught me off guard. Not sure about the whole thing, though.
Says he's joining for bass:

when they're doing the ++melodic riffing it's good, but those obligatory breakdowns ruin the flow. Pls core bands stahp w the breakdowns pls pls

"Pls core bands stahp w the breakdowns pls pls"

Why? Breakdowns are part of metalcore tradition and an intergral part of the genre. It's not the breakdowns that need to go away, it's they way *most* bands use them. They serve a huge purpose though, especially if done right.

Breakdowns to metalcore are like blast beats to black metal. Pretty important but should be used tastefully.

the breakdown in Giles is hands down the best metal core breakdown of all time. Unearth rule. Almost every other metal core band from their era has tailed off, but they are clearly as strong as ever. The march was ok, but their last album rules. This sounds promising. Heres to late 90s metal core bands!
