funny, I was just listening to these guys for the first time in forever today and yesterday
...wow Trevor sounds totally different...song was meeeeh unfortunately
|
| |
Pretty cool song. I always find myself wishing they had more interesting vocals, but instrumentally this is great.
|
| |
Song shreds hard. Love this track
|
| |
There is a strong death metal element on this track. While most bands are getting softer, Unearth just keeps getting better and heavier. I loved it.
|
| |
^Are you that guy from the site i got the source?
|
| |
sounds like 2006
|
| |
mark morton is the guitar player from lamb of god... not the bassist?
|
| |
^ Caught me off guard. Not sure about the whole thing, though.
Says he's joining for bass:

Sounds like Unearth, which is a good thing
|
| |
when they're doing the ++melodic riffing it's good, but those obligatory breakdowns ruin the flow. Pls core bands stahp w the breakdowns pls pls
|
| |
it was ok
|
| |
I liked the breakdowns. Guilty I am.
|
| |
Unearth has always been better at breakdowns than most
|
| |
giles
although zombie autopilot and so it goes might be their two best for the solos alone
|
| |
^the solos in those songs are ridiculous
the march as an album wasn't amazing but the solos in the chosen were awesome
|
| |

"Pls core bands stahp w the breakdowns pls pls"
Why? Breakdowns are part of metalcore tradition and an intergral part of the genre. It's not the breakdowns that need to go away, it's they way *most* bands use them. They serve a huge purpose though, especially if done right.
|
| |
Breakdowns to metalcore are like blast beats to black metal. Pretty important but should be used tastefully.
|
| |
heh
|
| |
that beginning had me surprised
|
| |
This track is really good and I'm enjoying the new intensity in the vocals!
|
| |
love this band more than most melodic metalcore gonna rule prob Ken Susi is my spirit animal
|
| |
"Ken Susi is my spirit animal" lol
These dudes were always a notch above other metalcore posers
|
| |
solid song
|
| |
Well the sweeps are there, that's for sure
Cool art too
|
| |
the breakdown in Giles is hands down the best metal core breakdown of all time. Unearth rule. Almost every other metal core band from their era has tailed off, but they are clearly as strong as ever. The march was ok, but their last album rules. This sounds promising. Heres to late 90s metal core bands!
|
| |
Yeah the vocals do sound a lil diff but awesome song as usual. Solid as fuck band
