Anathema announce special concert

2014-11-14 by OmairSh | 10 Comments
Anathema has announced a special show entitled 'Resonance' which will see the band reunite with
two past members that helped build the foundations for the band.

The guests are former vocalist Darren White as well as former bassist and songwriter Duncan
Patterson. The show has been dubbed "a celebration of the entire history of Anathema music" and
will take place at Shepherds Bush Empire in London on the 16th of April 2015.

Daniel Cavanagh states:

"To each other we owe a debt. Our lives have been irrevocably intertwined, our musical and
personal influence on each other’s history can not be overstated. Souls have resonated together
in such a way as to be highly significant to each one of our life paths. Without each and
every one of these people, Anathema could not have been born, could not have grown, and could not
have survived and thrived in quite the way that it has.

And for a very special occasion, these souls will share the stage once again, celebrating an
entire history of pioneering musical searching. We will pay respect to every single era of
Anathema history – and to all the significant souls we have been close to. From the present day
musical landscapes, back through time to the dawn of the groups formation. We hope you will join
us for this once in a lifetime celebration.

In Resonance"

If I didn't love Danny so much I'd think his descriptions are ever so slightly wanky

"Wonder what some fans will think when Darren White starts singing"

They'll be wondering if they're at the wrong concert.

Seriously though this is a huge step from recently when Danny didn't even like talking about the earliest
material.

And now with Daniel Cardoso on drums live they're as metal as new Anathema can be.

I know what you mean about these wanky flourishes that the the Cavanagh brothers spout from time to time, but all in all, they seem like genuinely nice people and I love their music so I just chalk it up to no one being perfect.
