I Bet My Life sucked. But this isn't bad. Still wish they had more electronic elements like their earlier stuff.
|
| |
what a fucking cliche album title too
|
| |
I can think of many, many, many more bigger problems with mainstream music than Imagine Dragons.
|
| |
nah they are one of them
|
| |
Respectively disagree. It's not their fault that mainstream music has pretty much dissolved Rock music so they're heralded as the posterchildren of the genre.
|
| |
mumford and sons too
|
| |
I've never gotten the hate for these guys honestly. They're pretty harmless.
|
| |
See, I think blaming the artist is the wrong route.
I can choose to dabble in making shitty products, maybe even making shitty pencils. If Home Depot decides to buy my
product in bulk and provide it as a major product to their consumers, it's not my fault if their customers don't like it; it's
the suppliers fault for buying my product in bulk and pushing it.
Mumford & Sons and Imagine Dragons shouldn't be blamed for their success. They're simply cogs in the wheel for record
companies.
|
| |
^That's the fair way to look at it IMO. But I'm still mad people think M&S is MAD INNOVATIVE BRO
|
| |
what i'm really saying is...i don't like their music...at all
and it's everywhere
|
| |
Mumford and Suns are fucking diabolical and so is their fanbase
these guys aren't good but there nowhere near that bad
|
| |
I agree with you Shadow, it sucks that certain bands have their music plastered everywhere and there's no way to avoid it, but it's not the bands fault.
|
| |
Their fault for making shitty music though
|
| |
Smoke and Mirrors
FUCKING SERIOUSLY, THEY WENT WITH THAT TITLE?!?!?!
song is fucking horrendous too
|
| |
damn, this is so indie :^)
|
| |
now that they don't really overplay the shit out of radioactive as much as they used to my hate has dissolved into complete indifference
|
| |
This song is horrible. The verses are chorus seem like two different songs, and the transitioning between them is just too choppy. It's also boring.
I mean, at least "Radioactive" or "It's Time" had a bit of life in them. This? This is just garbage.
|
| |
woaty i'm fucking calling it
|
| |
now that they don't really overplay the shit out of radioactive as much as they used to my hate has dissolved into complete indifference
oh it will begin again just you wait
|
| |
Isn't their 5 minutes of fame up yet?
|
| |
I didnt find their debut bad but these new songs are kinda annoying as hell. From the looks of it they're going to spend the whole album make songs that rely on "huge" choruses for radio probably. Except the choruses in these new songs are just irritating.
|
| |
Can these guys just go back to the fun and campy synth-pop from their earlier EP's please? They were miles above with them :/
|
| |
There's a whole shitty movement of groups that are played all over the radio. This band and Awolnation are seemingly spearheading said movement.
|
| |
Awolnation >>>>>> this shiet.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
Awolnation album is like a 3. Imagine dragons is a straight up 1.
|
| |
no. nooooope. awolnation is the worst shit ever
|
| |
I really don't get the hate for that band/guy. He's not even popular enough to be annoying... except that
one song "Sail", which is aight.
While these guys have like 4 terrible singles which pollute the airplay 24/7
|
| |
radioactive was an utterly infuriating release
|
| |
Radioactive was awesome
the part when he says "breathing in.... the chemicals..." and then he really breathes in and out aloud ... well ... it was one of the most epic moments of modern music
|
| |
omg. I feel so sorry for you.
|
| |
Oh goodie! Another song to sound like every other song they've ever done.
|
| |
They're easy to hate I guess. At least they're not on the level of many of their contemporaries.
|
| |
I don't have any problem with Imagine Dragons being mainstream, far as I'm concerned it's a step in the right direction compared to Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah and all that horrible shite.
But yeah it's when people say IG/Awol/etc. are the saviours of rock music or whatever that's what really irritates me.
|
| |
I wish this band wasnt a thing[2]
|
| |
"They're easy to hate I guess. At least they're not on the level of many of their contemporaries."
yeah they are
|
| |
legitly fell asleep to this song
|
| |
The worst thing about this band is their name.
|
| |
sail is worse than any IG song ever but i'll give it credit for not being fucking everywhere
|
| |
Their debut was mainstream rock bilge, but at least it was fun.
Why does this have to be so boring? It's like they are trying not to be interesting.
|
| |
boring af indeed
|
| |
terrible terrible song and band
|
| |
THIS IS SINGLE HANDEDLY THE BEST BAND THAT HAS EVER GRACED THIS EARTH. WHAT A FUCKING TALENTED COLLECTIVE. PLEASE GIVE THEM HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS MORE DOLLARS FOR THEIR INCREDIBLE TALENT. PLEASE. OMG.
|
| |
Stupid shit to annoy me in the mall
|
| |
this band>>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT96eX7JJ3Q
|
| |
Cyg, if we're talking Billboard, then no.
|
| |
I look forward to hearing this everywhere next year. Oh good.
|
| |
Why haven't they broken up already?
|
| |
this is fucking atrocious. the other song is much much better and that's saying something
|
| |
Sowing season this is not rock
|
| |
"radioactive was awesome
the part when he says "breathing in.... the chemicals..." and then he really breathes in and out aloud ... well ... it was one of the most epic moments of modern music"
oh dear
|
| |
In all fairness, I'll take Mumford and Sons and Imagine Dragons over bands like Boys Like Girls and OneRepublic that used to dominate mainstream rock pretty hard in the mid 2000's.
|
| |
Radioactive was awesome
the part when he says "breathing in.... the chemicals..." and then he really breathes in and out aloud ... well ... it was one of the most epic moments of modern music [2]
|
| |
Radioactive was awesome
the part when he says "breathing in.... the minerals...'
best meme
|
| |
the thing that i hate about bands like this one is that they serve as a reminder that people have been brainwashed into listening to bland, passionless music. since that kind of shit has become popular (beyond comprehension), there are lots of bland, passionless people who want to make music like this and cash in, and it will never stop. ten years from now i'll probably hear an imagine dragons song and think 'compared to what's on the radio NOW, this actually wasn't so bad!' and that thought disturbs the hell out of me.
|
| |
Radioactive was awesome
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Imagine Dragons is an abomination against human race
|
| |
Where's The Killers when you need 'em? They seem to be the only band capable of this type of music
|
| |
Where's The Killers when you need 'em? They seem to be the only band capable of this type of music [2]
This band also takes the worst aspects of the generic indie pop that has been in the mainstream and the cheesy elements of 30stm
|
| |
Where's The Killers when you need 'em? They seem to be the only band capable of this type of music
autism speaks
|
| |
Oh come on snake Killers' singles are miles ahead of most mainstream alt bands' singles
|
| |
i know but there are pop rock bands that are way better than the killers
|
| |
this is true. not really my thing anymore but i'd say Strokes is my fav "pop rock"
|
| |
The breath in radioactive is cheesy but awesome
I kinda hated it until I heard that radioactive swimming pools mashup
|
| |
cheesy and bad. song plays every 3 hours at my work and i've been able to adjust to it all other than that breath
|
| |
Was talking about pop rock bands that try to mix in a bunch of synths as well
|
| |
Horrible. This band is going downhill real fast
|
| |
Imagine Dragons are one of the reasons as to why the world sucks.
|
| |
These comments are lame
|
| |
You can say that again
|
| |
Song was alright, don't really get all the Imagine Dragon hate, yeah they're overplayed and not as talented as people make them out to be, but they're not trash
|
| |
"the thing that i hate about bands like this one is that they serve as a reminder that people have been brainwashed into listening to bland, passionless music. "
holy shit youre right. this is what I hate about the last 2-3 years of alt radio rock. none of it goes anywhere. sail, arctic monkeys, dangerous, hozier it all just sounds like the same songs.
sure radio rock has never been great but goddamit
