the whole concept of throwing 5 ideas together into one disjointed song would just fail to keep your attention over 60 minutes
i also feel like the amount of attention he can afford to spend on details really pays off with the EPs

Surprised some people aren't into this. I mean I pretty much love everything Burial does, but I could definitely see why people wouldn't dig the Truant/RS or Rival Dealer releases. This to me is just undeniably fantastic though.

idk ive never liked burial, all his stuff is just so emotionally overwrought and lacking in any sort of subtlety that i just kind of find it vapid and annoying.

kindred was ok i guess but not the masterpiece it was hyped up to be. everything after that was terrible.

idk why artists need to be 'subtle' to be enjoyable. wtf does subtlety have to do with it? and how isn't he subtle? his songs are rife with neat little nuances that the listener picks up on more and more with each listen
