This song is apparently pretty much a slightly altered version of a song that Ragnar composed with this band Sign. So i think its likely not indicative of the direction

Finally, the band is re-emerging.
The YT link is broken, I'm afraid.
|

"The YT link is broken, I'm afraid."
I duct-taped it back together.
|
| |
cool
|
| |
I've seen a few people complain that the link isn't working in some countries, that could be the issue Voi. They shared the vevo link on their fb page as well, that might work

Anticipation growing rapidly...
|
| |
TPE3???
|
| |
Skepticism growing a bit...
|
| |
I' m sure that the new album will be better than the Road Salt bullshit and put POS back on track.
Unfortunately the band will never reach the heights of its past.
|
| |
song sucks and so does this band....im done with them
|
| |
GASP! Dude TPE is top 5 prog metal. Their first 5 albums are great. Plus there are three tracks over 9 minutes that should have much more interesting sections
@kso agreed. I'm hoping so, but for now I'm not raising my expectations too much. Glad that the band is still alive though
|
| |
I need something that is mine
IF THAT MUST BE GUILT
THEN FINE!
Wish the production was less Road Salt-y and the guitars and bass sounded more crisp
|
| |
"Wish the production was less Road Salt-y and the guitars and bass sounded more crisp"
All the sounds in the world and they choose to be Road Salt-y.
|
| |
The song rules, don't care if it's a recreation of an older one, as long as it's part of the new material. It sounds great to me, can't wait for the rest.
|
| |
I think this is the best they have done for years! I like the new band member, especially Ragnar Zolberg (which is singing at the chorus on this song)
|
| |
Ragnar's voice is really adding to the song.
|
| |
Pos are not prog for over a decade.
The song is decent like most they have done in recent years but from a band that made amazing albums like the first four (entropia was great but one hour, tpe and remedy are masterpieces) o.k is just not good enough.
Be was the beggining of the decline imo, flashes of greatness but mostly pretentious dribble. From that point they just became o.k. nothing more.
|
| |
...BE was the beggining of the decline....
too bad that sentence wasn't on the beggining so I wouldn't have wasted my time! Just kiddinig, I think their first 5 are their best, with OHBTCL being the weakest of 'em, and then Road Salt I is better than the last three..
|
| |
BE is second best for me. Amazing album.
The song is growing on me, especially the chorus. Hoping for a strong album with the typical POS experimentation. 2 fucking months is too far away ffs
@bens: yeah after the first 5 the standard wasn't the same. But they still released good material

What confuses me/pisses me off about Daniel is that for so many albums the old members barely got to contribute to the songwriting. But Ragnar is in on his first official studio album and not only does he get to contribute, but Daniel decides to do a fucking cover of his old song. Wtf Daniel?
Fredrick who composed the stunning Iter Impius barely gets writing credits and deserved more space. I would be pretty frustrated in that position
|
| |
Yes, but Ragnar looks like a macho girlfriend, so Daniel thinks with the second head.
|
| |
wow.... how much more sexist could I be with this comment?
|
| |
I wonder if it might've had something to do with the whole near death experience deal, probably gives you ample time to reflect on your ego and how you interact with the people around you.
|
| |
Also, I would understand if Daniel needed a short song with emotion for a single, but he was drained artistically, so he just went for a cover.
