Anubis Gate announce 7th album 2017-07-14 by Voltimand | 2 Comments | Danish progressive metal band Anubis Gate recently unveiled the track list and artwork for their 7th album titled 'Covered in Black', with an official release date of September 1st this year. Detailing the record, the band has stated:
"Dealing with, and dedicated to, people in dark places, this album has a darker and more complex edge to it... Ranging from classical chamber music, seventies prog and extending to thrash, with very eastern influences popping up, this is an album that is best heard as one piece, even if the individual tracks can stand on their own."
The band also plan to release a teaser and music video for the album's first single in the coming months.

On one hand, I'm excited, but those track names. It's like the first episode of Metalocalypse.
| | | Yeah, song titles took me aback at first, but still very 'Anubis Gate' when looking at their entire discography. As long as the music is heavy and melodic I'm stoked.
