...They've slowly been winning me over with each new single from this album. This was unexpected. And the harsh vox from Dan are light years ahead of anything featured on Polaris.
| |
all singles are great, i'm looking forward to this
| |
nice to see Dan doing harsh vocals again, they were a nice touch.
this is good, though it didn't exactly take my breath away.
| |
this is a nice fucking track
| |
Kinda reminds me of A Perfect Circle, dunno why. Even the vocals.
Groovy song though
| |
tis goooood
| |
Looking good.
| |
Huh... I actually dig this.
| |
His harsh vocals sound almost Black metal-ish in pitch
| |
This is so good
| |
This is a huge improvement over anything from Polaris. I liked that record more than most but this album is looking to be up with their debut in terms of quality.
| |
Yeah this song was supergood, didn't expect this from 'em after Luminary
| |
man this is really really god, totally unexpected! now I'm somehow hyped for this record...
| |
Haven’t given a shit about this band in years but really enjoyed this
| |
gud af
| |
3:25 reminds me of something by Steven Wilson
| |
Kinda reminds me of A Perfect Circle [2]
Great song, like it more than Luminary
| |
it's a shame that this album is only going to be 35 minutes
| |
It may be for the better. Most of their albums are so samey, a short runtime could help
| |
Incredible. Hoping this new album is more quality over quantity. Read a review that said the album version of Smile is pretty different so I'm psyched to hear that with good production.
| |
It is so strange that they released an unfinished version of Smile ?!?
| |
I think it was something to tide fans over cuz they've gone over their usual 2 year album cycle. The single version of Nocturne has different production and misses the funky ass outro as well so they've done it before.
| |
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would
| |
This song is so damn good. Much better than Luminary or Smile.
| |
"bloc I don't hear that at all"
Not only do I hear it in the music, but the vocals sound like Maynard at times. Especially at 0:25 and 1:25. I can totally hear him singing this.
| |
Well, Dan is definetly a big fan of Maynard. I saw a tweet by him were he mentioned that he couldn't believe that he would see him in person. His "APC" Maynard influence can be best heard on Skyharbor - Patience, because he really delivers that sensitive and softer side of Maynard
| |
Ah, well we have our answer then
| |
Not bad, but it isn't blowing me away.
| |
I really liked this. I think this album is definitely going to be better than Polaris on the whole.
| |
yeah nah this is boring. The screams scattered throughout sound good tho
| |
omfg wish I could listen right now. normally tesseract is like 50/50 with response on this site, most seem to dig this. did not expect dan to be screaming again.
| |
4:44 holy fuck
| |
Yeah that part fuckin slaps. Might be a metal moment of the year.
| |
I guess I have to listen to this a second time.
| |
another yawn, I don't know what it is but nothing these guys do grabs me anymore
| |
I've always been like that (except for their song April), but this really impressed me
| |
April was so satisfying to finally see live a few years ago!
This is....OK! A bit short and nothing grabs me too much but I love his screams. Album as a whole should be cool though.
| |
ye this is actually ok.
apart from the vocals.
| |
Dan is probably the best thing about the band. They are all extremely talented but Dan was always the glue.
| |
this gives me hope that Sonder might actually be better than Polaris
| |
Anything will be better than Polaris
| |
Still can't get that section at 4:44 out of my head. Probably gonna be the best riff I hear all year.
| |
Oh shit did Dan finally learn how to inject some bite into his screams?
Song is solid. More interesting than what this band usually does.
| |
Ah, the other Durrzo returns
| |
I can't listen right now, but I think Smile was the one they were playing on tour with Megadeth last year. Between King and Smile I am 100% on board with this album.
That said, this video is an uncomfortable watch.
| |
What a great fucking track.
| |
4:44 still crushes diamond
| |
The part a bit earlier where Dan is screaming again is also majestic.
| |
I'm definitely warming up to this a bit more. 'Luminary' was still a meh track though.
| |
Those screams are good shit. Seriously hope he brings them back for this record.
