New Prophets of Rage video

2018-07-23 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 14 Comments
Prophets of Rage have released a music video for their latest single, "Who Owns Who", which is taken from their self-titled debut album.

Although they had already released the track "Heart Afire" from their as-yet-untitled sophomore album (which is set for release towards the end of the year), the band have opted to release another single from their 2017 effort rather than release another new track. When discussing the video, the band said:

“'Who Owns Who' music video was created by VA • the Artist who runs his own charity, V For A Cause. V For A Cause aims to help underprivileged children by raising money for various causes through art. All the money for this video is being donated to this charity. Through art, Vasilis has managed to help children in need.”

There were some good tracks on the first album but a lot of it was just really dated, like Tom Morello hasn't listened to any new music since RATM split and hasn't absorbed any new influences.

When I listen to this group's music, I feel like I'm 15 and my dad is in a rock band and I'm really afraid of all my friends finding out.

Someone needs to show these guys some Stray From the Path music and tell them that it is actually possible to modernise the RATM sound and still pack a punch.

That and nobody takes his stupid Anarchy shtick seriously anymore. This isn't the 1990's if you're gonna say something ditch the revolution bullshit and say something that isn't pseudo-idealistic garble only a whiny Grunge baby would care for.

Like Jesus Christ "The Counteroffensive"? "Smashit"? This shit is so fucking dated. Fuck if this guy just came out and went Communist he'd at least have SOMETHING going for him.

Funny enough that's like the least hypocritical thing he's done in comparison to other shit he does on the daily.

This didn't really hit me either way BUT

when I saw the little guy standing there and the vocals kicked in I laughed and spit out my coffee. Honestly I think if De La Rocha were singin I would dig a little more, it would just be a little more believable.

Chris Cornell heard this trash band and decided to leave this Earth. Thanks, Tom.
