Why is this song 5 minutes long? After a certain point it just becomes insufferably boring.

Pearl Jam going to experience Tool syndrome? Haha
|
| |
My thoughts exactly
|
| |
A bitter tasting liquid jam made of broken mixing desks, cut guitar strings and human turd
🗑
|

"exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption"
k
|
| |
That was hard to listen to. Everything (except for the bass) just sounds like total garbage. What a shame.

Still Jammin' After All These Years
|
| |
Absolute fucking pig swill.
By trying to stay relevant and looking to appease the young demographic they’ve become the most irrelevant and fucking useless thing on the planet. On top of this absolute bollocks how much will you be charging for a ticket to a show? 80 quid? 120 quid?
Cunts.

| |
this isn't that bad - 2.5 level, maybe even a 3
they've done a lot worse...
|
| |
Christ
|
| |
I'm a long way from saying it excites me
|
| |
also a gigaton does sound like it's describing an almighty crap
|
| |
this is bad even by radio rock standards. wtf
|
| |
Let's be honest, the probability of this site having anything positive to say about this band post Vitalogy is less than 1%
|
| |
probability of this site having anything positive to say about anything except generic post-metal, indie folk, King Gizzard, or emo-ish pop punk is less than 1%
|
| |
True, a bunch of little bitches on here.
|
| |
You guys need to lighten up. I’ll take this over the lame dad rock turds they’ve been churning out the last 15 years.
|
| |
Dad rock turd >

Sputnik comments calling out the relevancy of Pearl Jam. Oh, the irony.
|
| |
Very good point, but at least we're self aware enough to realize that we're irrelevant.
The difference is Pearl Jam still thinks they're hot.
|
| |
I hated Incubus' new song too at first but it grew on me. I guess all the 90s dudes are new wave bands now?
|
| |
"Pearl Jam still thinks they're hot."
Citation please.
|
| |
Is this being released not proof enough?
Sounds like a desperate last gasp of air someone takes before getting swallowed by the sea.
The comparisons to sputnikmusic.com make themselves.
|
| |
"Is this being released not proof enough? Sounds like a desperate last gasp of air someone takes before getting swallowed by the sea."
Does it? Just sounds like a band making music to me. Maybe the music isn't good, but it implies nothing about what the band thinks about who or what they are.

Hold tight, I'll write you my 10 page thesis statement about my off-the-cuff comment in a minute.
In the meantime, here's something for you to consider: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D6Zi9OlUVM

I was digging it but that chorus feels so underwheming after all that
|
| |
Still can't believe Bill Simmons opens his pods with this song now
|
| |
It’s a 3 for me. Not bad. The synths did feel very strange in a PJ song though.
Last album was really dull tho — but Getaway is a great fucking song. One of their best.
|
| |
Song's alright, it's always a blessing to hear Vedder singing, but what's up with the electronic drums?? Song would be so much better with... well... a drummer?
|
| |
I've never been less excited for anything in my life.
|
| |
I hope there are some rockers on the album, I really dug the self titled and Backspacer for their uptempo tunes
|
| |
All the fuckheads on here making negative comments are still virgins. Go and write a better song.. losers!
|
| |
Eddie is that you?
|
| |
Pearl Jam finally listened to Hot Fuss, I guess
|
| |

Backspacer is actually really good, pretty underrated. Unthought Known is top notch Pearl Jam.
St/avocado was just alright for me, felt pretty one dimensional. Marker in the Sand is fucking awesome though.
|
| |
I am just listening to "Quick Escape" and it's actually pretty solid.
