Ken Hensley dead at 75 2020-11-05 by manosg EMERITUS | 14 Comments | Former Uriah Heep keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist Ken Hensley passed away on November 4. His brother, Trevor Hensley, shared the news in a Facebook post, today and noted that Ken will be cremated in a private ceremony in Spain.
Hensley was born in Plumstead, south-east London, on 24 August 1945, and was mostly known for being a founding member of influential hard rock band, Uriah Heep. Ken left the band in 1980 as a result of being unhappy with the musical direction the Londoners had chosen. From 1985, he lived in semi-retirement in St Louis, Missouri, making a few appearances with W.A.S.P. (Headless Children) and Cinderella, among others.
