Yes To Release The Quest

2021-07-07 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 17 Comments
Legendary progressive rockers Yes will release their new album The Quest on October 1st via InsideOut Music/Sony Music. Band's 2021 line-up consists of Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood. The full-length will feature eleven songs.

Steve Howe comments: "It is simply an honour for me to have the opportunity to bring together the band members in the development of a well-refined set of songs that capture the band’s true potential. Much of the music was written in late 2019 with the rest in 2020. We commissioned several orchestrations to augment and enhance the overall sound of these fresh new recordings, hoping that our emphasis on melody, coupled with some expansive instrumental solo breaks, keeps up the momentum for our listeners."

The album will be available on Vinyl, 5.1 Blu-ray, CD, and Digital. With cover artwork by Roger Dean. Pre-Orders begin 23rd July.

Why didn't Yes just end it after Chris Squire died? I don't get it

Honestly, they should have ended it well before Chris died. Their output has been consistently mediocre for a long time now, and Heaven & Earth was fucking atrocious imo

Crazy how the band has only been decent for the first 10 years of their 50+ years existing - that sure is some dedication to being shit
