They're back!!! =O
I love the song personally.
| |
Seizures from nodding my head so aggressively maybe
| |
Holy shit this is awesome. Give me a whole album of stuff like this
| |
Song is alright but this is great news!
Now if only Fair to Midland...
| |
song fucking slaps lmao that second half is nasty
| |
Vocals are mixed kinda weird, but I LOVE that these guys are back.
| |
yea the end of this song is particularly fuckin sick. didnt expect them to go this hard when they returned but im here for it
| |
Sounds like the old voice had a nice rest
| |
That's a chunky riff for Anberlin. Me likey.
| |
yeah the mix on this is not great but I'm hoping its YouTube compression making it worse as usual
| |
Yeah I stopped midtrack cause the mix was annoying me and it felt like a waste to listen to this glorious return that way (so yeah completely missed the last part lol)
| |
this is like legitimately better than any song on Lowborn and is one of their best songs ever...? WTF, am I tripping balls or does anyone else agree?
| |
It's just different and heavier but has all of the distinct AnBerlin ingredients
| |
I agree with that. But whew do I love heavy Anberlin.
| |
it's not better than Hearing Voices or Stranger Ways but I do like it more than a fair bit of Lowborn yeah. it's a far better version of Dissenter lol
| |
Yeah Dissenter reeked of forced heaviness
| |
"Now if only Fair to Midland..."
A man can dream :-(
| |
Lowborn has some of my favorites (Stranger Ways is like a top three track for me) but imagine that album with this instead of Dissenter.
| |
Brooooooo this song was dope, very welcome comeback
| |
HOLY SHIT !!! THEY ARE BACK!! OMG !!! YES
| |
Loved it! Cohesion in the heavy is not something I've heard them do this well as of yet.
| |
Love me some heavier Anberlin. Hope they release an album of stuff like this.
| |
reminds me of the the last two songs Underoath released before disbanding
| |
what the motherfucking fuck that was amazing and not what i wanted/expected in the slightest. they're really back omfg
| |
Hm, they found a new way to be heavy, this is a 4.9 after second listen. Not a top 20 song yet but could be a 5.0 and enter the top 20. Reminds me of the energy of their best album, Vital.
| |
And this is what I needed to get that Anberlin kick back and enable me to listen to their discog again
| |
Love me some heavier Anberlin. Hope they release an album of stuff like this [2]
| |
I'll take this opportunity to remind people that their final live shows in New York are probably their best albums
| |
yeah last half of this track ruled so much. glad these guys are working on stuff again
| |
Absolutely love this band and this new song
| |
Great song, looking forward to the new material
| |
Glad they’re back but the track is not my cup of tea.
| |
this made my day! fuck yees!
| |
aaaaaay
| |
this is way better than I had any right to expect from a comeback single
did not expect Anberlin to go this hard in 2021
| |
alright this is sick as shit
| |
what a comeback, this song slaps
| |
If you're gonna bother to write a chonki boi riff then don't just save it for 20 seconds of the whole song.
| |
was their music video budget 7 dollars?
| |
Their tour is only in Republican areas lmao
| |
Whoa, they are back!
| |
The music alone nearly gave me a seizure. Not sure I could bear another listen.
| |
The first time I heard the new song was extremely weird. This is one of my top 5 most influential bands in my life. The new song first listen was like hearing a girl you used to love say she loved you now and wanted to be with you now and you had no positive feelings to give back. Second listen actually let me really hear the song and understand they were genuinely going all out in all aspects and it was really a great piece of artistry.
| |
Yea I don't have epilepsy or anything but that video annoys my eyes significantly.
| |
"more aggressive"
don't tease me, i still listen to Cities..
| |
I'll take this opportunity to remind people that their final live shows in New York are probably their best albums [2]
second half of song.... fuck yes.... !!
| |
I'm....not sure if this is what I want from Anberlin. It's much too early to tell what the album will be but I was really digging the electronic incorporations on their later records. This has a bit of that before the end but it felt really cliche. This is like a mix of songs from Dark is the Way and Dissenter. I want to be more hyped but this isn't it for me. The "Ever ever ever count me out" part is not good.
| |
Why would you even have a lyric video that does this? Violently fuck off forever.
| |
The combo of this annoying ass video and them only touring in redneck cities makes me want to troll them directly instead of be a fan. Stephen you’re a fucking moron thinking Christianity is the answer.
| |
I mean those "redneck cities" are probably the only places that are even allowing concerts at full capacity to begin with
| |
Oh my I was very angry yesterday
| |
I mean those "redneck cities" are probably the only places that are even allowing concerts at full capacity to begin with [2]
fair point
| |
This is maybe a top 5 Anberlin track. This reminds me of when Mwy dropped Julia
| |
Yo no fucking way I thought these guys were one of the bands that would actually stay done
| |
Was I really the only one that thought this sounded so bad? Its probably YouTube so I'm not judging it yet but gd those verse synths were grating. Will reserve judgement until I can listen for real on headphones. But I am glad they are back and welcome the heavy
| |
Yep just gonna reiterate the consensus: shitty mix but dope song.
| |
shitty video, great song and glad they're back
| |
I"m listening to new Anberlin while watching Battlestar Galactica for the first time since I watched them as they aired. I am very vividly reliving my most nostalgic years of 2005-2007 rn. This feels good. Song will take a sec to get used to but I'm just too happy that they're back to care.
| |
what's with the deal with waiting a month to release on spotify
| |
It reminds me a lot of Dead Letter circus actually.
So Glad they’re back, even though I was digging anchor snd braille

Sorry computer issues...
| |
I miss being a little kid and thinking battlestar galactica was good
| |
is this on Spotify yet
| |
It's now on Tidal so I'd assume it's on Spotify. Also I kinda see the Dead Letter Circus comparison and it's not a bad thing at all.
| |
Now that this is officially out, can confirm. Its awesome
| |
At this point in my life this might be my favorite Anberlin song. Really hoping the whole album sounds similar
| |
Gonna jam in car for first time and on a streaming service instead of youtube here in a bit.
