Emma Ruth Rundle Returns

2021-09-09 by Dewinged STAFF | 28 Comments
After a busy couple of years, and following her collaboration with Louisiana sludge masters Thou, Emma Ruth Rundle has shared through Sargent House a new song titled "Return".

The song sees her going back to the stripped-back sound of her first recordings, only this time she takes on a piano instead of her usual acoustic. "Return" belongs to Emma's new album, "Engine of Hell", which is set to release on November 5.

Here's the track list:

1. Return
2. Blooms Of Oblivion
3. Body
4. The Company
5. Dancing Man
6. Razor's Edge
7. Citadel
8. In My Afterlife

You can stream "Return" on several streaming platforms and watch the official video below.

Beautiful song, pretty different from what I expected. Stoked for the album.

Yeah the piano fell on me too, so heavy, so visceral and pure Emma, so sad too but I liked it alot.

I am happy that there is no Jaye Jayle collab on this record. I didn't enjoy On Dark Horses.

Gonna be a really sad album for sure, going through a divorce is not pretty, but her best music have always come from tough times. This won't be any different.

Pre-orders are up btw.

If the whole album is like this I doubt that I will be playing it more than a few times. Marked and On Dark Horses are excellent albums.

And I just realized the black figure in the video might be the same figure as in the Thou & ERR album cover(s). :0

"Sucks to hear about the divorce tho."

Sounds like shes okay with it, according to a tweet response.
