While they've never released a masterpiece, they have yet to release a dud. I expect this new record is going to maintain their consistent quality.

I think my biggest gripe with this band are the vocals everything else is pretty cool

Lol vocals are one of the main reason I love this band.... especially Brann Dailor ones ,they are eargasmic to me,one of the best in metal music today if not the best.

Love the vocals too, one of the few metal bands that don't rely on harsh vocals, growls, etc, plus they sure know how to write earworm melodies.

If this is the radio friendly single then I’ve got a lot of hope that they unleash some heavy and techy songs. Would love another Blood Mountain one day.

Uh, the vocals are fine imo. I'm not a fan of all the reverb they put on them, but I agree the melodies are good usually.

Pretty standard Mastodon song imo, but I don't consider that a bad thing. Even at their worst, they have killer tunes. Also, I just love Brann Dailor's voice.
