New Fit For An Autopsy Song

2021-09-24 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 22 Comments
American deathcore crew Fit For An Autopsy revealed the first single, 'Far From Heaven', off their upcoming record Oh What The Future Holds, out January 14th, 2022 on Nuclear Blast Worldwide and Human Warfare Australia/NZ. The official music video can be seen below.

Directed and Edited by Eric Richter

Band comments: "A worthy introduction to premiere the album, we pick up where we left off creatively from our last release. Although there are more drastic dynamic turns to come, "Far From Heaven" delivers from a more simplistic and primal place.

Lyrically, this record will take you further into internal turmoil and chaos than we have gone before, partially due to isolation but also as an overstated reflection on existence itself.

This song is much more a literal and grounded representation of our continued frustration with institutions and class gaps that exist in all facets of society. The powerful video by Eric Richter is a thematic visual counterpart to the inherent dark nature of subject."

The album was produced/mixed by William Putney at Graphic Nature Audio. Artwork by Adam Burke.

Tracklist:
1. Oh What The Future Holds
2. Pandora
3. Far From Heaven
4. In Shadows
5. Two Towers
6. A Higher Level of Hate
7. Collateral Damage
8. Savages
9. Conditional Healing
10. The Man That I Was Not

It's not even October yet and already January 14th is gonna be kinda stacked

Fucking love Joe's cleans at the start with those "Gojira vibes." Chorus is pretty FFAA same-y, but the intro and bridge/outro gave me chills. Excited!

These guys have been great the past few albums and if this song is anything to go off, this album will rule as well.
Gojiracore is definitely the vibe I've always got.

These guys are fully leaning into the Gojira cover band sound, but I'm here for it.

Yeah this rules. Definitely more of a continuation in sound from last album, but I'm very excited for this release.

Slaps, can't wait. Though I really wonder just how many bands have done the "lead singer poses as a pastor in a church and a bunch of "blasphemous" imagery is shown" thing for a music video lol I don't have an issue with it but I have seen it QUITE a few times

Re-listening, this song as some very similar sections to "Mourn" from their last album. The "far from heaven" part matching the "unforgiven" part, and there are similarities in the choruses too I can't place. Maybe vocal delivery? Idk

Band comment included in the article is hilarious wonder if they just auto-generate that or actually take the time to write it.

i don't even care that they essentially built off gojira's sound, that's exactly what gojira should have done

that chorus literally sounds like it was taken from gojira's latest album and the riff is almost similarly spot on to Another World.

This will make the new Rivers of Nihil seem like an afterthought, and that's surprising to me. I was very let down by RoN so this may fill the void.

This is cool. Haven't heard anything from fit from an autopsy since around 2011
