British hard rock legends Deep Purple have officially announced that their next release will be a covers album titled Turning To Crime, out November 26 via earMUSIC. The album features songs originally recorded by Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, The Yarbirds, among others.

Ritchie Blackmore said somewhat recently, that Deep Purple management whips the band to work, in spite of the fact that they already have a huge back catalogue.

Their newer albums have been quite decent for a band this old. They will always be one of the best bands ever, despite the "boomer nonsense" remarks but yeah, a cover album is something that is almost never interesting, specially in the context of a band like modern day Purple
