she's really bad at lyrics

This exceeded my expectations. God damn… What a Banger.
Alissa killed it and finally Loomis got some shine. I love it.
Actually hyped for this new album. Finally some epic AE material.
|
| |
This band is so fucking kitsch, I don't understand their success
|
| |
chorus melodies got no zazz
|
| |
"finally Loomis got some shine"
yea for 10 seconds lmao
|
| |
"Loomis got some shine"
He's never getting shine in this band lol
|
| |
Anyway, song is pretty mid but that's expected with AE at this point
|
| |
Band has always been mid
|
| |
Gotta love the toxicity on this site with biased stupidity.
|
| |
Just because this band has made a few bad albums doesn’t mean they can’t break the pattern. They broke it with this new song. It’s brimming with energy and incredible guitar work. No dull moments. Wtf is considered great melodeath to you if you think this is bad? Lmao
|
| |
damn fanboy rage
|
| |
anyway arch enemy more like the alissa whitegluz band amirite
|
| |
these guys are like a modern day hair metal band
|
| |
Band hasn't released anything remotely interesting since Anthems
|
| |

These vocals sound like they were recorded a line a day?
|
| |
Doomsday Machine was shite, agreed
|
| |
nah was a good album
|
| |

| |
can we all agree that oldlady666 is a noob
|
| |
"she's really bad at lyrics"
Her lyrics were way different and a lot more interesting in The Agonist. I'm guessing she's doing the basic cheesy stuff for this band on purpose and/or Michael tells her to.
The song isn't anything incredible but it's fun. The singing parts aren't special but it's cool to finally hear some in Arch Enemy.
|
| |
Song is ass.
|
| |
can we first agree that senetrix666 is an old lady?
|
| |
senetrix=latin for old lady so yes
|
| |
pog
|
| |
nah was a good album [2]
Anthems and doomsday was my peak interest in this band
|
| |
THE TABLES HAVE TURNED
I AM TAKING BACK MY SOUL
|
| |
the video couldn't be any more corny too lmao. It really does sound like hair metal at times as someone brought up. shit song
|
| |
At 2:50 she gives punches in the air.
|
| |
"she's really bad at lyrics"
To be fair, bad lyrics have been par for the course since the Angela Gossow days
|
| |
Yeah...the tapping part of the solo after the spoken word part sounds exactly like the tapping part of the solo from In Flames' The Hive
|
| |
this is so stupidly cheese, I kinda like it, never heard this band before though, for some reason.
The slow part at 4:20 is terrible lol
|
| |
Still wish she wouldn't have left The Agonist.
|
| |
gossow was a lyrical genius. adding a single word to the platitudinous 3 musketeers vow...mwah. true poetry
|
| |
Wow this is cheesy as hell and well meh. Never been interested in this band and it looks like that wont be changing
|
| |
"At 2:50 she gives punches in the air."
lmao best part of the vid
|
| |
Agreed super 🧀 but hey if that's your thing you will most definitely like this. This is just butt-metal let's be real.
|
| |
"Yeah...the tapping part of the solo after the spoken word part sounds exactly like the tapping part of the solo from In Flames' The Hive"
Holy shit that was actually literally a complete rip-off lol. Song was surprisingly fun tho
|
| |
I'm afraid to listen to this. They're on tour here pretty shortly with BEHEMOTH opening for them. Pretty sure I'll leave halfway through the AE set but they did play a pretty good set on the pool deck on 70K...
What's good melodeath? Well there's Insomnium, Kalmah, Be'Lakor, some At the Gates, some Dark Tranquillity, old school In Flames...
|
| |
I can see myself loving this when I was 16. This is basically just stadium metal at this point- designed to be as accessible as possible
|
| |
free jeff loomis
|
| |
Thanks WretchedCacophony, I was looking for good melodeath recommendations.
|
| |
Wow this might be the first Loomis solo I've heard that doesn't use the diminished scale
Also I think I know why they don't let Loomis solo much. It's so that when they inevitably fire him for someone inferior, they don't need to worry about learning his difficult leads.
|
| |
free jeff loomis [2]
|
| |
i said this before but fuck this band 'cept loomis
|
