Fixed. Thanks, man

Listened on Spotify, melodically it's pretty folky and reminds me of Wintersun actually. Sounds like it would go down well live. Every breakdown from this band sounds the same to me.
|
| |
same exact song structure as the last 2 songs except the didn't do a big end breakdown at the end.. boring af
|
| |
polished to a razor's edge, absolutely no life left in this production
|
| |
I love when people make meaningless digs at production quality. I'd love to hear exactly what "life" constitutes in a mix. Please also elaborate on how sharpening / polishing is the antithesis of "life".
|
| |
bc life is rough
|
| |
^ nailed it
|
| |
this fucks hard. production quality is better than all the shitty mono mixes black metal does at least lol
|
| |
ya sure ill address your dumb comment
basically to me its how much the end result sounds like a band playing together vs a bunch of people in isolation stitched together to produce an end result. whether or not that's just how recording is done doesn't mean it's how it has to sound

“I’d love to hear exactly what "life" constitutes in a mix.”
production that isn’t brickwalled to hell. when everything is ultra compressed and at the same volume you lose dynamics. also, having instruments that sound natural. i guess that’s prob a sampling thing idk but check the latest Ad Nauseam record for great production. and fwiw i don’t rly care that this is super polished but i don’t think it’s much of an empty claim to say this sounds lifeless.

| |
Like Lorna, don't hate song, but was pretty bored by this one...
|
| |
"I'd love to hear exactly what "life" constitutes in a mix"
Being able to hear an actual performance in the music. I don't know why these days it's considered boomer for a band to sound like a group of musicians.
idk man I find The Raid more thrilling than Avengers Endgame even if it doesn't involve alien gods throwing planets at each other or whatever happens in that movie
|
| |
This is much better but that stupid cut and paste breakdown is really turning me off. It is the same in every song.
|
| |
This one was pretty boring for me. The band are clearly talented but I feel like they're going to struggle to not fall into that predictable low growl, screech, blast beat, open chug breakdown pattern in their effort to sound as heavy as possible. Time will tell I guess.
|
| |
Album is shaping up to be a 4.0 for me.
|
| |
I can't remember a single passage from any of their recent songs. It all sounds exactly the same and is becoming extremely stale. Will can only do so much crazy shit on vocals before the novelty wears off if nobody else from the band can contribute anything remotely interesting.
|
| |
re production: i like it when drums actually sound like percussive instruments and not clicks and swishes, real human elements like that make music sound alive.
|
| |
I actually found this to be one of their less formulaic songs. That being said, they indeed need to develop some extras for their songwriting as their sound is quickly growing old to me.
|
| |
Musically sounds a little like The Flesh Prevails-era-Fallujah. Not sure about the vocals yet but I'm digging the instrumentals.
|
| |
song is a juicer
|
| |
Yeah it is the best of their new album singles for sure
