pretty dumb to die for japanese currency
| |
Fuck I hope they dont do that thing where they release like more than half the album as singles
I don't have the self restraint to wait, but I also dont want the whole fucking album spoiled for me before I listen to it in full.
| |
The atmospheric parts were cool,
Rest sucks though.
| |
I actually really like this, but this is one of those bands that I'm excited when they release like one note videos so don't listen to me, I'm bias
| |
This is better than the other song.
| |
Sounds ok kind of reminds me of Korn a little
| |
worse than the first two singles but still neat.
| |
Not amazing but the best of the singles so far. Love how much presence Sid has on this track
| |
i liked this what the fuck is wrong with me these days
| |
yeah you must be deranged to enjoy something, wtf
| |
Song rules pretty hard, pleasantly surprising.
| |
Feels like it’s going somewhere and kinda doesn’t.
| |
This honestly rules, it might be my favorite of the singles so far.
| |
The atmospheric parts were cool [2]
| |
buildup to the ‘breakdown’ was cool
| |
Cool song. Way better than the first two singles
| |
Ah yes, the japanese currency is so interesting
| |
weeb
| |
I bet this is decent and half of y’all just clownin
| |
Better than the last song by a large amount imo.
| |
It's ok. The weakest of the 3 so far for me
| |
Song is clearly not about the currency of Japan
It’s finally a ballad to tell the tale of Geralt of Rivia’s love
| |
i don't like this band all that much, but i have this fixation with them where i will unquestionably listen to anything they release, and find myself regularly listening to them. It's like having a disease. Anyways, this song is good.
| |
lmao
| |
Still boggles my mind there's 9 members in the band yet the guitars (aren't there at least 3 guitarists?) sound bland and it sounds like one guitar. Also even if you don't like the band you can't really deny that each album sounded different up until All Hope is Gone. Every album had it's own sound, distinct. But for the last 3 albums, including this one, they all sound the same.
| |
Wait theres 9 people in this band ? Holy shit
| |
yep I just read there's 2 (dual?) guitarists and two percussionists and this is the guitar sound/riffs and drums they can come up with lmao.
| |
There’s only ever been two guitarists
On face value slipknot has always been two guitarists, one bass player, a proper drummer and a vocalist. Then there are like two additional percussionists, DJs and general nut jobs.
Realistically, they’re a five piece with production and hype men.
| |
Yeah after vol 3 is when this band started losing me. Their first two albums are really great and vol 3 has some terrific songs but like half of it is filler. Their last album was their best since vol 3 but I still wouldn't say it's amazing or anything. I can't really remember much of it tbh.
| |
Same CC, I couldn’t tell you more than three or four songs past volume 3 but I could probably sing every word from self titled, Iowa and V3
| |
Skimmed it, will listen to it fully later: first impressions repetitive, atmospherey bits in the later section could be cool. Ive never cared for this band but ill give it a crack
| |
Man this sucks
| |
Cool song except the die for yoooAAAAAOOOOUUU part.
| |
"Every album had it's own sound, distinct. But for the last 3 albums, including this one, they all sound the same."
Yeah, it is odd how drastically different each one of those albums sounded but now their sound has not progress or change a single bit since 2015.
| |
I'd be lying if I said I was impressed. But I'd also be lying if I said I didn't like it. So there's that.
| |
Gray Chapter pt.2
| |
Nah this is already better than gray chapter
| |
"Realistically, they’re a five piece with production and hype men."
Yep. Shawn is almost a producer in some ways
| |
Imagine having two guitarists and never utilizing twin guitar harmonies lmao
| |
"Also even if you don't like the band you can't really deny that each album sounded different up until All Hope is Gone. Every album had it's own sound, distinct. But for the last 3 albums, including this one, they all sound the same"
I don't really agree. They sorta stopped innovating after AHIG but WANYK and the new one sound a lot closer to their iowa/vol 3 era
| |
Loved it. I think TCR is my favorite of the three but all the singles are sounding great. There’s going to be a lot of variation on this album. I’m excited.
| |
They’ve def been using Vol 3 as the playbook for their albums after its release, which I don’t blame them considering how eclectic Vol 3 is. There’s a lot u can do with that formula
| |
Finally, a legit track, i really dig this one
| |
wow I am very excited to not listen to this album!
| |
all the new singles sound pretty good but the bigger picture is starting to come into focus and I think it's def gonna be a step down from their last album
| |
they have slip knot been gud in years
| |
Actually decent, nice switch up
| |
This is weird like, I like it
| |
They’ve released tracks 2,3, and 4? Cool so by the time the album drops I’ll just be skipping the first half every time
| |
great stuff here
| |
"They’ve released tracks 2,3, and 4? Cool so by the time the album drops I’ll just be skipping the first half every time"
Lol
| |
actual brainrot take lol
| |
This is imo the most interesting Slipknot track since like... 15 years ?
| |
Since Not Long For This World
| |
not great
| |
"Realistically, they’re a five piece with production and hype men."
Lmao, i agree
| |
"Realistically, they’re a five piece with production and hype men."
Ok yes but it rules that the guy who hits the keg runs the band
| |
agreed
| |
"i liked this what the fuck is wrong with me these days"
"yeah you must be deranged to enjoy something, wtf"
I'm his doctor and I regret to inform you that we had to put him down.
| |
lmao
| |
They can still come up with interesting ideas and cool parts, but most of these songs just don't work as a whole. They can't seem to patch together the interesting bits and opt for the well known formula to fill in the bits
| |
At first listen I was like “naw” and on a couple more listens I’m like “aight cool”.
| |
Joey Jordison >>> Slipknot
| |
Yeeeeeeaaaa^
| |
Decent song except the die for yoooAAAAAOOOOUUU part. [2]
| |
what happened to this band
| |
a lot of stuff
| |
Slipknot, the most popular band in the trailer park
| |
Big yes. Looking like it's gonna be a solid record.
| |
The "i died for youuuuu" ruins and otherwise good song
| |
this is cool
| |
It is
| |
yen? more like yawn
| |
I’d like to congratulate the people who say they don’t utilize having two guitarists or never use dual guitar harmonies on having an opinion without actually listening to the band.
| |
That's almost every metal band tho
| |
