leagues better than anything off their disastrous last album, but still lacking in the energy that made The Oncoming Storm through Watchers of Rule so good.

Band will never come close to the Oncoming Storm

EDIT: Having said that I agree with the above totally. Song is actually pretty good

Vocalist sounds like a completely different guy compared to their earlier records

Some of the production sounds weird. Not liking the drum sound.

I really enjoyed pretty much all of their albums up to Extinction(s). I wonder if the vocalist blew out his voice after Watchers of Rule and just never really recovered. This seems better but his vocals seem to still lack a bit of punch. Interesting inclusion of a death shriek at the end.

Oh we're supposed to hate Extinction(s)? Damn, missed that memo. Thought it ruled.

I enjoyed the new song. Last Unearth album I listened to was "Darkness in the Light". The vocals sounded completely different on that record

If you had to recommend one Unearth album, which one would it be?

My two favorites are Watchers of Rule and The March.

Solid track, probably my favorite of the singles released so far but all have been really good. Looking forward to this one!

Apparently once you pass 40 you spawn wide-leg khakis, Tommy Bahama shirts, and some grass-crusted New Balances.

“does boomer just mean anything that's remotely old now”

The age requirement for boomerdom drops every year. You’re more of an Abe Simpson than a Bart before you’re even a Homer.

@sspedding "Band will never come close to The Oncoming Storm"

Watchers of Rule might top The Oncoming Storm. Dunno if they'll ever beat out the high-point that's Zombie Autopilot, but when you look at the albums overall Watchers is as big a slapper imo while being much more mature and consistent.
