Review Summary: Soundgarden's first major lable album that is truly awesome.

Soundgarden is band that many to this day still miss dearly.Badmotorfinger was an album that got it right. With odd time signatures, catchy guitar riffs, and chris cornell before he became all mainstream. This album is considered along with superunknown to be soundgarden's best. And it shows why.

Rusty cage was the first single, with a guitar riff that is played so much that you won't be able to get it out of your head.Which is followed by the next single Outshined. This slow-tempoed metal esque song is probably their most famous song second only to balck hole sun.Slaves and bulldozers and jesus christ pose come next and these two songs are my personnal favorites. The vocals on both of them are incredible, particularly the chorus of slaves and bulldozers with cornell singing the line"bleed your heart out".

Some other noteworthy tracks being room a thousand years wide.Cornell sings pretty low pitch on this song, matching the palm muted guitar riff. For the more punk rock types there are songs like face pollution and drawing flies.Obviously soundgarden wished to appeal to a broad audience(especially considering the albums that followed this one).

If you have not heard anything from this album,I suggest you give it a try.Trust me,it's worth every penny.
