Review Summary: A good album with only a few somewhat weak tracks.
NOFX makes their 10th full-length album with the release of Wolves in Wolves' Clothing. There are some great songs on this record, and a some that aren't so-strong, but this is a NOFX record, and NOFX records generally have a few songs that aren't so strong on them, but that's not to say that it brings down the album at all.
Some of these songs have appeared on the Never Trust A Hippie EP, so people that already own that may be annoyed that some of the songs from that EP are on Wolves In Wolves' Clothing.
The Band

Review
The album starts with
60%, which is a great song. The lyrics in this song are excellent and Fat Mike's voice sounds great in this song. This is a great song to listen to if you're annoyed at the mainstream. Then comes
USA-Holes, another one of the best songs on the album. Again, great lyrics here and the bass in the opening is great in this song. All the instruments are top-notch in this song and this is a must-listen.
Then comes
Seeing Double At The Triple Rock, the lead single from this album, and one of the only NOFX songs to have a video for it! The guitar is great in the opening and the drumming is great in this song. All the vocals and every instrument here sound great. Also, let me say that the video for this song is pretty good too. After that song comes
We March To The Beat Of Indifferent Drum, which is a failry mediocore track, but the guitar here is pretty good, and the same with the drumming and bass. Fat Mike's voice sounds pretty good in this song too. The choruses are the best part of this song.
The Marxist Brothers is one of the worst (and slowest) songs on the album, but the choruses are pretty good here. I do like the lyric: '
The people's revolution is gonna be a podcast'', though. The bass is also good in this song.
The Man I Killed is a great song, with some great lyrics (
They could incapacitate me, but could not erase my sneer/I heard a thousand people screaming while three billion others cheered), and this is a great song, though short (1:18).
The next song,
Benny Got Blowed Up isn't a bad track. It's about a boy going to war I belive. The instruments and vocals are all good here. After that song, we have
Leaving Jesusland, which is one of (if not the) best track on the album. It has some greay lyrics about vegetariens, punk rockers, emo kids, etc. A great guitar solo starts at 1:42 and goes until about 2:04, and a great section (including the aforementioned guitar solo) starts at 1:32 and goes until about 2:15. A great song.
Getting High On The Down Low, the next song, is pretty good, with some good instruments/vocals and the beat is excellent. another great song.
Cool And Unusual Punishment has good choruses and good interludes between the chorus and verse (with good gutiar-playing in that section). The lyrics are also pretty good in this song (
For just under ten thousand yen, you can visit Hell and come back again). The beginning is kind of weird with one or two voices.
Wolves In Wolves' Clothing is one of the best songs on the album, with very good lyrics and a great slow beat that gradually leads into a faster one. A great song, and a must listen. The next song,
Cantado En Español features El Hefe singing in Spanish and is a fairly unremarkable track although this song would be perfect for certain movie soundtracks, with great guitar and bass and drums in this song.
100 Times F***eder is a good song, with great drums, bass and guitar. Sounds like traditional NOFX. Great guitar in this song too.
Insant Crassic, the next song on the album, is 0:34 seconds long and features potty humour, but is actually a great song and sort of the udnerdog song on the album.
The next song,
You Will Lose Faith, is one of the best on the album. Pounding drums with a fast beat and great guitar and bass throughout the whole song. Fat Mike's voice sounds great in this song and this is a great song overall. A must listen. The song after this,
One Celled Creature, is one of my favourites on the album. It has great voclas combining Eric Melvin's Mel Yell and Fat Mike's voice and a great drum beat. A great interlude starts at about 0:51 and ends at about 1:02. A great song.
The next song, which is entitled
Doornails, is an acoustic tribute to friends that have passed away. A great song and a great tribute to friends.
60% (Reprise) ends off the album, and is basically a re-working of the first track on the album,
60%. A great song, still.
The last song, which barely qualifies as a song at all, is called
[Hidden Track] (at least that's how it appears on my iTunes list). :D This song starts with 2:00 of silence and then leads into home demos of songs by Fat Mike on acousitc guitar and singing. An interesting song, but isn't really the best quality.
