Who they remind me of:
The songs off this CD remind me alot of the stuff off of "Milo goes to collage" by The Descendants
My favorite songs off the album:
Amoeba,Who is Who,Wrecking Crew
The Reveiw:
1 - I Hate Children (1:44)
I dont think this song is a good way to start off the album. The words come in way to quick, if only there was a couple more measures befor the words start, then maybe it would of been better. The song its self has a pretty good guitar sound, but the words "I Hate Children" are repeated way too much. Score: 2/5
2 - Who is Who (1:23)
This song is one of my favorites off the album. The course is very catchy and sounds nice, and the words go along with the guitars and drums. The Repetativeness of the words "Tell me Who is who?" goes along with the feel of this song. There is also a little solo in this song.Score: 4.5/5
3 - Wrecking Crew (2:07)
This song starts out very, very slow. So it seems like its goino be like this the whole time, but then the music stops and Tony screams out "We're just a wrecking crew, bored boys with nothing to do!" and the guitars and drums kick in, and its a regular fast punk song. Then all the music stops again, and pretty much the begining is repeated again. This is the highlight of the CD, Score:5/5
4 - L.A. Girl (1:48)
The guitars in this song sound very cool. The vocals sound very nice also. This song really reminds me of The Descendants. The course sounds cool(as do many on this cd) Score: 4.8/5
5 - Self Destruct (0:48)
The shortest song on this Record, kind of bland.
Score: 2/5
6 - Kids of the black hole (5:26)
This is the Longest song on the C.D, clocking in at 5:26. Its a big change from the 1:50 second songs. Although, it is quite boring, and uninteresting. I usually skip this song, but it does have its moments.(E.G, A long sologood lyrics) Score: 4/5
7 - No way (2:03)
This song, despite its great guitar riffs, is also bland.I also usually skip this song. Score:1.5/5
8 - Amoeba (3:04)
This song is probly familar to some of you. This song apeared in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. It's in there for a good reason, This song flat out.. rules! It is very catchy, aswell as the lyrics. It also features a Long and great sounding guitar solo. 5/5
9 - Word attack (1:07)
This song starts off right away, and is very fast.It is very repetative, saying "we all attack" (I think?) many many times. It doesn't work well with this song. Score:2/5
10 - Rip it up (2:11)
Yet again, another one of the repeative, repeat the name of the song, songs. The whole idea centerd around this song is saying "Gotta rip it up!"
11 - Democracy (2:07)
This is another one of there great songs. It is very logical and has great lyrics."Did you really think you could make it big,Living amoung these nuclear pigs,If you didn't know you'll never see,We're too far gone for democracy."
Score:4.5
12 - No Friends (2:31)
I believe this song is about conformists. The lyrics themself arn't really that great, but this is where the Bass & Drums really shine. I didn't notice the bass or drums that much from any song untill i heard this. It also includes a beautiful guitar solo.
13 - Creatures (1:57)
This song has pretty stupid lyrics, like this "I'm not accepted by my peers - so what, I could care less about the que'ers - they're f'ucked,The chicks are hot and full of cheers - pleasers,They say "no" so I jerk white tears - teasers" Probbly the worst song on the album, even after the "repetative" songs.
The rest of the songs are pretty much the same. Boring and bland,(so i didn't bother writing a reveiw)
14 - Welcome to reality
15 - Losing Battle
16 - Things start moving
The Verdict:
A good CD, but some of the songs just go on and on. Most old-Descendents fan will probly like this band. I doubt anyone that loves metal will come in and say, "wow, this is the best band in the world!, i'm going to start liking punk music now m/."Although, punk fans, the songs that i gave high scores to, are far enough of a good reason to pick this CD up. Score: 3.5/5
