Review Summary: Deathcore/Metalcore with Electronic and Techno Elements ? Strange but brilliant combination !

I am not a scene kid or kinda trend follower. I usually listen classical Metal and Metalcore and a bit Death Metal and Trash Metal.

I got in touch with The Browning by a Review in the German Metal Hammer and after I read there about the Music these guys make and the strange combination of Electronic and Deathcore/Metalcore I thought to myself that this must sound like the biggest crap in the world. But my attention was caught and I checked out a few Videos of these guys on YouTube.

My first listening impression was : What the damn crap is this ?!?!?! It was the song Bloodlust. But something catchy was in their songs so I listened their songs over and over again on YouTube.

Couple days later I couldnt get Bloodlust, Ashamed, Time will Tell & Standing on the Edge outta my damn head.

This made me ordering the Album Burn this World.

Since I have the Album a couple days now and listened to it very often I must say, I am impressed and blown away altough I normally totally dislike Techno and Electronic stuff in Metal Music, thats strange - I know...

The thing is that those Electronic & Techno Elements are not just mixed in the background, it has almost the same priority in the sound as the "Real Instruments".

So you have great, Melodic but very brutal Deathmetal/Deathcore/Metalcore music with those mentioned Eletronic and Techno Elements.

On top you have a very Brutal but unique singer with Jonny McBee. You don`t get any clean singing on the whole record from Jonny. But you can feel the intensity out of his voice and altough everything is brutal growling you understand what he is singing. I have read some opinions of people on the web who think Jonnys voice is a little to monotonous, I don`t think so. He expresses a lot of emotions through his Brutal and intense Singing.

Best tracks are No Escape, Time will tell, Ashamed, Standing on the Edge & Bloodlust.

I also have to say that I haven`t dicovered a weak track on the whole Album so the rest of the songs are also very great.

The Album itself has a great Sounding powerful production.

I do think there should have been a better choosen Cover Artwork but from my Point of View this is the only thing to really complain about Burn this World.

Give this Band a Fair Chance and check them out, they`re totally worth it.
