Review Summary: it aint that bad guys.
I relly, really like metallica. they are one of my top favorite bands next to Disturbed and Seether. this album, titled st anger, was different from all there other stuff so of course it got $hit. but in reality it aint that bad to be hinest.
but it DOES have bad things about it. like the vocals. James sounds like lars stuck his wee wee in his throat and he cant get it out. his worst singing is on Shoot Me Again and frantic, the latter is actually good btw. the album has some of the bands finest moments thogh like on "Some Kind of Monster" i thunk if this song were an instrumental, it would be better. but instead, we got $#||ty vocals.
the album, aside from alot of solid songs, also has nice and raw production. Some people may not like it cause it sounds like nu metal and ya know, nu metal sucks (coughLIMPBIZKITcough) but it can be really pleasing to some fans. now , to some metallica fans or just metal fans in general, this band is the definition of sellout. I disagree. The band just wanted to try different things, just let them fu€<ing do that.
overall st anger is a solid album, despite a few downsides. dont overlook it and give it at least one chance. this is BackInBlue, signing off.
