Review Summary: Listen to this album whilst on acid, you probably won't regret it.
Peripheral Vision is completely different to anything Turnover have ever done, but it is something I think everyone could see coming after their 2014 release of the "Blue Dream" EP.
The album starts off with the track "Cutting My Fingers Off", a blisteringly home-hitting track. Well for me anyway. The first song is a good example of what the album progresses in to being; we see similar Turnover lyrics we have seen throughout their whole career, about splitting up with girlfriends, and high school topics, but Peripheral Vision adds the shoegaze-y/emo tone we have seen Turnover try and use on their previous releases, and what bands like Title Fight and Citizen are also using right now.
After being disapointed by the Blue Dream EP, I had my doubts about this next full length, but boy was I wrong. They've done it again, if not better than 2013's release of their debut LP, "Magnolia," which again, I thought was a very strong record.
Some songs that stand out to me in particular are the first track, "Cutting My Fingers Off", along with "Take My Head", and "Intrapersonal."
