Reviewing A.C. is always a hard job as sometimes there isn’t a lot to say and you always get the controversial comments. At the sake of having nothing much to say, I will use this as a blurb. A.C.’s main selling point is the fact that they have extremely controversial lyrics and song titles. A.C. are a typical grind band with long song titles and short 30secs – 1min songs. Most of the songs intentionally sound the same with big walls of noise. Some songs contain fast grind riffs while nearly every song contains blast beats. The vocals are very loud screams, which makes the lyrics hard to understand (but darklyrics.com and other sites have them) and even when reading the lyrics you can’t follow them. There would be no point reviewing this track by track as every description would be, “Yeah, a blast beat again in this song, some more immature lyrics”. I used to be appalled at the lyrics but they have really grown on me and I find them funny at times, I think they can take it too far sometimes. “You Robbed A Sperm Bank Because You’re A Cum Guzzling F*g” and “You’re Pregnant, So I Kicked You In The Stomach” were taking it to far but I can see the silly immature side of them. My personal rating is 5 as this is one of grind’s classic albums and fun to listen to but on a realistic point of view, this is more a 3.5. Try out the songs, “Hitler Was A Sensitive Man” and “Rancid Sucks (The Clash Sucked Too” if you are up for it but for people with an uneasy stomach, this isn’t good to touch with a bargepole.
