Review Summary: Why I don't like Deuce's new album Nine Lives.
Alright, my friend made me listen to this album at least 10 times before I put my review about it on the web (made me put a review up too) I am currently listening to it right now. Let me explain how I even found Deuce.
{BORING STUFF} I started listening to Hollywood Undead first. I heard that Swan Songs and the rest of there albums were different so I looked up what happened. I found out Deuce had left the band because of "Musical differences". So I listened to everything I could find of Hollywood undead (maybe I left a few songs out) then listening to Nine Lives. Because my friend threaten me. So I listened to it. Still listening to it right now. After the tenth time (five minutes ago) I decided to do this. Anyways, musical differences?
{RATING REASONS}
I am still unsure if I should do Awful or Poor. I liked a few songs, like one. Maybe two or three. I know all the lyrics to it now, so I guess I can say it's catchy. Musical differences from Hollywood Undead? Hell no. Hollywood undead is not talking about penis and panties in the first song they released. They released Undead. Which I am somewhat comparing him to Hollywood undead, But I'm done with that now.
His music is always talking about one of theses: Guns, sex, drugs, hating people, killing people, how people hate him, partying, himself, and how he's sad about people hating him. Well d**n, we know people hate you, and that you hate people, why does someone "rap" about how much you hate someone and befriending the devil? (the one)
Besides talking about how big his dick is and everyone wants it, it seems like almost all of his songs are about himself, every song has "my, me, I, or we, or his band name Nine Lives) self absorbed.
He did take a somewhat break from all the himself by talking about domestic violence "pull my hair, stretch my back, Beat me like Rihanna" I think those are the lyrics. Mentioning Hannah Montana, President Obama, and of course Rihanna. In the same song, Freaky Now. Along in that song about licking each other and talking about hips and lips... I could go on about this album being worse then 10 years newest album. I don't even know who sings in this album because I know he isn't the only people singing. But I really don't even want to know about who's saying "these ladies are crazies and want to have all my babies," and "I'm heroin,"
Then only REAL reason why I'm giving this garbage a 1.5 is because I like the beats, and maybe 2 songs are catchy and cool. We know why his solo career didn't kick off.
But I am going to listen to his next album when it comes out in summer or 2016. Or at least that's what I heard.
