| TheMagicalBlender My favorite Maiden albums come in phases. When I first heard the band my favorite by them was Seventh Son, then it was Number Of The Beast, then a few months a go it was Powerslave, but recently I've grown found of Somewhere In Time. Just has a really good sound, no filler, and all classics.

| TheMagicalBlender I didn't know Varg was on DMDS until after I heard it, and I never heard that he wanted to torture Varg to death. But I do know that a lot of Euronymous's close friends said a lot of crazy s*** but never actually did it because he was just playing up the black metal act.

I know this may sound silly but I can never bring myself to listen to his music after hearing what he did to Euronymous and those God awful church burnings he supported. Ik that neither of those things have anything to do with the quality of his music, but it just always bothered me I guess.

| TheMagicalBlender Morbid Saint - Spectrum Of Death, Possessed - Beyond The Gates, and this really awesome but obscure album, Horde - Hellig Usvart. It's a black metal album and one of the best I've heard. It's excellent, highly recommend it. It'd be like if Mayhem made an album with Christian lyrics.

| SAPoodle I don't know why but for some reason I can't get into early black metal; I have no problem digging DSBM and modern BM bands but Mayhem, Darkthrone, Dissection, Emperor... I don't know. I just can't get into them for some strange reason. Even most Burzum I can't get that into, although I do love Hvis lyset tar oss and Filosofem

| TheMagicalBlender My main problem with Panzerfaust is that it has great proudction/guitar tone and great vocals, but they sound like they are from two totally different albums. It's like they made instrumentals for one album, recorded vocals for another, and just put the vocals and the other album and bam, you have Panzerfaust. The vocals just don't blend with the production imo.

| TheMagicalBlender Wanna give it a 4, same score as Death Magnetic, but there a couple tracks that didn't really leave an impact on me. I'll probably just give it a 4 and if it gets worse on repeated listens, I'll bump it down to a 3.5. Definitely like it more than Load and ReLoad. Not to sure how it compares to Death Magnetic yet though.

| TheMagicalBlender I'm halfway through it and I think it's pretty good thus far. Whatever the album rating ends up being on here, I won't take it seriously. Metallica is easily the most divisive metal band on here along with A7X.
