| Drifter Your forum picture is perfect lmao
| GhandhiLion I listened to her ST. I don't know much about her or what she looks like. (like most bands I listen too) That mask is creepy
| GhandhiLion And now I am trying to infer what your username means
| polyrhythm at least until they open up them 5.5 ratings bb
| Satellite2 no idea, but it happens to me often. think it's just one of those things i need to wait out until i can log in.
| Aberf Ichiko Aoba, my all time favorite artist/singer-songwriter. Judging by your ratings, you would probably love her. 0% live-album is essential.

| Mystletainn nice vektor rating lol I think it's overrated trash too
| polyrhythm Sounding pretty great, not grabbing me as immediately as Safe From Harm did but as you say it is denser, there's more to chew and process. Production is awesome. I'll jam again with more attention to spare =) how you been keeping?
| polyrhythm Sounds lush bb, looking forward to hearing it. Any sneak peeks / finished tracks?
| Valkoor952 Seeing as you like alt. rock and Thrice you should really give O'brother - Endless Light a go. It came out this year and it's basically amazing. It has great atmosphere, but then again so do their other albums. The singer, the lyrics, everything just works for them in a great way.
| FullOfSounds oh man i love your lamb rating, legit one of the best trip hop albs
| polyrhythm Bjork bjork bjork bjork bjork bjork RIP me
| YetAnotherBrick sorry, i haven't yet- honestly, it's been hard to find time for music at all when i'm not working. when's it goin up on bandcamp?
| YetAnotherBrick damn, a year? seems like a while. but i guess it's compensation for how productive you've been haha
| Sinternet shonen knife rule hard babes, love em to bits. Saw them live in April and they still got it it was sooo fun
| YetAnotherBrick will check this weekend! i am excited to hear this post-Mellowing incarnation haha
| kascetcadettt i'll drive you on a train in the subway in my country
| Polyethylene recs aside I hope you're doing well this fine day!
| Polyethylene You're welcome babe! Such nice vibes throughout. I'd be keen to hear your other work. Don't forget to check Agnes Obel's "Aventine" ;] I think you'd like Akron/Family's "Set Em Wild Set Em Free" and "Sub Verses" (they played on The Seer and were on Young God records at one stage I'm pretty sure). Also if you're a fan of experimental metal Patton stuff, definitely check Idiot Flesh "Fancy" and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum "Of Natural History." Both hella 5s for me.
| ArsMoriendi Check Brainiac - Bonsai Superstar, it's wacky noise rock and a hard 5 for me :P
| heck yesss I'm liking that 5 for 3 Feet High and Rising
| Polyethylene Oh wonderful! I too have been on a creative binge recently. What sort of music do you make? Here's the album https://jennyhval.bandcamp.com/album/blood-bitch
| YetAnotherBrick cool stuff. i'd like to do some plundering myself and try to make some stuff but i've really been pressed for time lately. my main musical priority has been my gf and i's band, we don't have a drummer but we're having a friend of ours make some drum tracks to our recorded songs, that way we can have an actual drummer play to them and then we can re-record our s*** 'cause we got the tone totally wrong the first time haha
| wtferrothorn Oh found it through google! Though the colors don't pop quite as much on the one I found.
| wtferrothorn Do you have a link to that Volta gif that you had as your avatar for so long?
| Polyethylene My nine muses would be Bjork, Diamanda, Joanna N, Agnes O, Fever Ray, Kate Bush, Goldfrapp, Carla Kihlstedt and Katie Stelmanis haha. There's plenty more but those are the absolute queens of my heart
| Polyethylene I'm gonna cry, I just know it. The moment she drops anything off Homogenic or Vespertine I'll burst into tears and float into outer space.
| Polyethylene To Be Kind rocks my socks clean off, need to give that album another spin. The Seer is my favourite of the new era Swans. Love them gothic swamp voodoo vibes that come through periodically. I'm actually a dual NZ/US citizen, who's lived in NZ most of his life. I'm just studying in Iceland for six months before I move to the States :] came here for Bjork, Sigur Ros and the landscape haha. Such a gorgeous country. I'm seeing Bjork perform with a string orchestra in November. Beyond excited
| Polyethylene Ugh yeah I love Swans too. Glad to see some serious love for Filth and Great Annihilator, those might be the two albums closest to my heart. Thanks so much for the recs! I've been meaning to delve deeper into hip and trip-hop, so that's perfect. I'll be your hip/trip protege haha
| Polyethylene Lol no you seemed pretty eloquent, or maybe I'm too tired to notice. People don't start partying here in Reykjavik until 2-3am... and I've been skyping people in NZ and the USA, so my pattern is all over the shop. Thank god for coffee or I'd never make it to school each day!
| Polyethylene Hey, just wanted to say you have hella great taste. We've actually got heaps of 5s in common like Feels, MPP, Homogenic, Swans, tJL, Joanna Newsom etc. Any albums you'd recommend me based on those? I would definitely check Agnes Obel's Aventine if you haven't :]
| YetAnotherBrick damn, is that how long i took- you already changed the name of the album?? ha anyway, this is great stuff. it's really impressive how different all your albums are from each other. The Amputees is absolutely delightful, and I really dig Already Demons as well. you seem to be chilling out a bit, but there's still a nice edge there that keeps it interesting. also, i must say, i prefer the new title as well. keep it up man
| Sinternet ahh sweet good luck with ur music, it's pretty cool. sending posi vibes :^)
| Sinternet hey fellow good user how ya been recently
| onionbubs Struggling with this green day review tbh. While writing this, things are starting to get pretty personal, because a lot of the exposition im trying to do has to do with the release of bang bang last august, and im trying to tone down the whole "this is the first album from green day to come out while i like them thing" bc who gives a s***. However, its hard for me to ignore that when writing about the album. Plus, this album is pretty scatterbrained and hard to describe in a concise review
| YetAnotherBrick Oh yeah, I noticed Pretty Face haha. It does stick out, but it's nice for an album like that to have a furious burst every once in a while, so I think it works. You sound like you got a lot goin for you, savor it! And good luck!
| YetAnotherBrick Oh, and great job on the remastering of Costra/Cumbre too! You really filled in all the empty spaces. I'll honestly remember that album for whenever I need something to space out to haha
| YetAnotherBrick And With Love is def still on my list of stuff to review! It will get done haha
| YetAnotherBrick hey so i listened to Mellowing the Yellow! I really dig the direction you're taking on it. I'd say that as a whole, it's not quite as full or as texturally deep as With Love, but I think it has the most unique atmospheres. You really nailed it with 'Watch Your Mouth.' That is a great ****ing song. Reminds me of Public Image Ltd or something. You really utilized the space between the sounds just as much as the sounds themselves. That and Built for Sex Pt 2 are def my favorite Alaskalana songs.
| YetAnotherBrick oh and hey, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O3js-OVgVM
| onionbubs ye it was. not huge on the track though.
| onionbubs im pretty sure i wont end up spinning it at all lol. havent been impressed by anything of theirs in a while
| Angelboros 3.5 for IBY = mixed bag? Does not compute. Then again, everyone's got a different rating criteria if that makes even a lick of sense.
| Angelboros Ngl, I'm a little curious about I'm Beside You. Would you say that it's better or worse than IWY?
| BlushfulHippocrene I noticed you dug verydeadly's double album, have you given the new single a listen? (https://soundcloud.com/verydeadly/patchwork) new album's out soon, apparently.
| Tunaboy45 I did this and my approval rating turned out just fine http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/59619/Kidz-Bop-Kidz-Kidz-Bop-23/
| TVC15 Hey Jiggly, happy bday grrl! I'm really sorry it took me this long but I checked out your Costra/Cumbre album and it's really good, I can really feel the Swans/GY!BE influence but you really make it your own which is really cool. I'm looking forward to checking out your other material! Also if that's a picture of you on your Alaskalana band page on Sput, you're v purty!
| CaliggyJack http://www.towleroad.com/2016/04/donald-trump-transgender/ Something else for you to check out, turns out he's a lot more against the NCarolina law then I thought. Im postin it here because this is positive whereas I get the sinking feeling my future argument with Snake will not be.
| onionbubs daisy freakin rules. id want em to continue down that root too, i just dont know if theyre capable of it
| onionbubs the thread for it was dumb though. see for yourself all the peoples complaining. zak was the only one where it was okay lol. the rym thread was way less complainy but brand new is more circlejerked here than any otherr website
| onionbubs the new brand new song is alright. its a regression, but i really didnt expect them to continue in the direction they did before. i feel like they couldnt continue down the daisy path anymore, so they dont really know what to go back to. or they do and the albums is another supuer dark masterpiece and that songs like the archers. with brand new we never know lol. its kinda weak for brand new standards but i still like it quite a bit. the single covers hella cool by the way lol
| onionbubs downward spiral is actually my all time favorite album. fragile is 2nd best nin, then year zero, phm is tied with broken, with teeth, hesitation marks, the slip. not sure how to rank ghosts yet because its a different type of album to judge.
| ArsMoriendi See for yourself, I checked 3 times and it was there all 3 times.
| ArsMoriendi They're an experimental psych band from the 60s that I've been digging, they broke up after making 1 album.
| ArsMoriendi You have them 4.5'd yet you don't know who they are?!?!
| ArsMoriendi Someone said that about me in one of the lunch threads, so I decided to embrace it!
| MillionDead Thanks! It makes me happy to remind people of that little gem of the late 2000's era. Also, Nina is a ****ing saint. Good on you for being a fan. You have some pretty sexy 5's. And I've been meaning to revisit M.I.A. and Xiu Xiu, both.
| YetAnotherBrick and hey i didn't realize you 5'd Hawk House. that album is unbelievable
| YetAnotherBrick I would say so haha. And oh damn, I'll have to check this when I get off work today
| TVC15 Oh s*** hey where can I listen to the music you make? Soy muy interesado
| TVC15 Have you listened to Bottomless Pit yet? I have a fantastically sad cum with every listen
| Tunaboy45 f*ck going to a vegan joint I'm heading off for a surf n turf with extra onion rings and chips, generous amounts of scampi and a medium steak
| onionbubs with love is really good! have been listening all morning. its very unique. right when i saw the song titles, i immediately thought godspeed lol
| Angelboros Listened to that new song you released more than at least thrice now and it's pretty solid. The glacial, upfront aura Open gives off is giving me the impression that The Revolving Door is going to be indicative of that particular feeling, and I'm down with that.
| heck so sorry you had to put up with all that bulls***. you're one of the few good people around here these days, I hope you don't leave but I would totally understand if you did
| ArsMoriendi Seriously, you're one of the coolest new users, if you leave we'd be at such a loss.
| ArsMoriendi Please don't leave! Sonic isn't that bad if you get to know him! :(
| LotusFlower yeah its pretty cool. liking it more than most death grips work.
| Lord(e)Po)))ts awesome, yeah i do all my art for my music as well. it would feel weird to put someone else in creative control of something only you can see in your minds eye ya know
| magicuba watching Twin peaks right now;) it's so addictive
| Angelboros You've got a second album out under the Alaskalana name that I'll eventually Czech, and I hear there's a third record in the works as well. I aim to please and simultaneously displease ;)
| YetAnotherBrick you should really check out the new Suuns album. I'm almost positive you'd dig it. have you ever heard them before?
| ArsMoriendi If you do, you have to promise to have to promise to post 264 before before the end of 2017 hah.
| YetAnotherBrick Love Eric Dolphy, been meaning to hear Morphine, and never heard of Ryo. Looks cool tho. I can definitely hear the Dolphy influence tho- that calculated recklessness. Good s***. Thank you for making em! It's been my pleasure to hear it. Definitely gonna show these tunes to my more musically inclined friends. Which album would you prefer I review?
| ArsMoriendi For sure! Also since you loved Tago Mago, Future Days and Ege Bamyasi should deff be up your alley as well!
| ArsMoriendi Yup it's a very strong 5 for me too. Also nice Mr. Bungle ratings
| Angelboros I have a feeling you might dig The Parable of Arable Land courtesy of Red Krayola.
| TVC15 You probably have the most awesome collection of 5s I've seen here on Sput Jiggly!
| ArsMoriendi Well prog and kraut aren't always related, but Can is both. You seem to have some prog down like Zappa, King Crimson, Camel and Yes... so I think you're good for now haha.
| ArsMoriendi Not sure about a list but Tago Mago and Kraftwerk's Trans European Express are pretty obvious starting points. Kraftwerk's not my thing personally, but you might dig it.
| onionbubs sure, sounds cool. ill definitely check it out hopefully today. where can i find it?
| YetAnotherBrick I really do like how aesthetically different the title track is from the other songs, tho. That's a brilliant touch, actually. I think my favorite is Built for Sex 1 tho. Fire Walk For Me. Damn, that's... that's ****in great. Not "with" me, but "FOR" me. Haha yeahhhh but yeah that song had me up in some places. i was driving around on my lift at work just like "uhhh.... WOAH" hahaha sorry if my vocab just declined there, but sometimes it happens when talkin about music like this haha
| YetAnotherBrick Yeah, that title track was something else. I got what you were going for right away, but honestly, some of the enunciations are a little unnecessary I think. I think it could be a lot more powerful if you made it a little subtler, I mean, just not SO reveling in the nastiness. Cuz yeah the nastiness is real, but too much of it in one moment will just repel people, yknow? I will most definitely review some Alaskalana! Just give me some time haha
| YetAnotherBrick That's so awesome to hear, as I have been listening to With Love a lot lately, just wanted to give it a little more time. I know enough tho to say that you're already in a whole 'nother realm of atmospherics. Like, damn. You have found some really unnerving, and like... oddly specific textures here. It's intimate, but like, cold too. Is that what you were going for?
| YetAnotherBrick haven't got it in quite yet, it's on my iPod tho haha. it'll def make it to my ears within the week
| onionbubs lol wouldnt it be interesting tho? just imagine a summer, very beachy and relaxed album by ween hahaha.
| ArsMoriendi No, you're right they paint a vivid picture!
| onionbubs do you also seem to find that weezers white album gets better after each listen? coz each time i spin it, i find theres something else i like even more. super fun album.
| Angelboros Yeah, I can say that it's without exaggeration the band's magnum opus. There's really no need to bother with anything else they've dished out, though, excluding NIL.
| YetAnotherBrick Sweet, thanks! I'll grab that with my next batch of tunes haha
| YetAnotherBrick You definitely have something here though, and I'm stoked to hear what's next
| YetAnotherBrick Yes, I meant to say that For Your Safety is awesome as well. It kinda sounds like it belongs on the album, actually. It'd be cool to have an extra abrasive closer. And yeah all the clips of people talking are slid in there pretty ingeniously; they really add a lot to the atmosphere. I think remastering it might do it a world of good, actually. It'll at least give you a new perspective to hear it from, which might help you with music in the future.
| YetAnotherBrick I guess in general I'd just say it could use a little more. I love the format of three long songs, but it just seemed like there were a few spaces that could be filled in within the songs, to make them more arresting. But hella kudos for making it; I can't imagine the kind of patience something like that would take.
| YetAnotherBrick Ha, that's funny, I was gonna thank you for putting that on sputnik; I didn't know it was actually you. It's wonderful, powerful stuff. But it was also an album that really made me question myself. Like the first time I heard Angels, I kept waiting for some huge wave of noise to overtake the whole thing. But the next couple times I got a little more sucked into the main motif of it. That loop that takes up most of The Drug of Love tho is pretty exquisite.
| onionbubs GORE IS AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!
| onionbubs ye i really like it man. the last two tracks are great closers. its funny how its compared to pinkerton, seeing EWBAITE was compared to blue at release. i think these comparisons dont work too well, seeing the darker themes of pinkerton, compared to themes of the beach and cannolis hahaha. the song titles are terrible too lol. with all that said, i think its a fantastic album. might even be my 3rd favorite weezer. its nice to be excited talking about a new weezer lol
| Gyromania excellent review - much more conversational and thus fluid. the introductory paragraph is an excellent talking point that helped you segue into the details on the album. glad to see you take criticisms to heart!
| Gleam Your soundoff for John Coltrane's "Psalms" compilation was just beautiful.
| Frippertronics honestly don't know i'm lazy, but I'd probably just do something for the albums that didn't get touched (so essentially everything but the last two). However, out of all of them I'd definitely take a stab at the Second album
| Frippertronics check some david sylvian tho, brilliant trees or secrets from the beehive~
| Gyromania ah. sorry, it's not beyond reason to think most newer people on here are alts :P and sorry if i seemed like a dick in that thread, i just really am not a fan of that style. would like to see you review something with more of a conversational tone, because it seems like you can write well
| hal1ax the fuk.. u had around 1500 ratings like yesterday haha. how did u even listen to that many albums since then
| Insurrection will do. i heard the guitarist doesnt hold a candle to frusciante though
| Insurrection i actually never heard that one in full, but i enjoy stadium arcadium for the most part
| Angelboros Rock over London, rock on Chicago! Sputnik: Everyone is emotionally confused.
| Mongi123 Yea of course, Laughing Stock is a masterpiece.
| CalculatingInfinity Cool, main advice I have is starting with Kurutta Tayiou and repeated listens are your best friend,
