 | RhaegarHarp Hatsukoi is really stale. the melodies are tired and repetitive and the composition is a huge let-down. Fantome marked a refreshing change in sound for her and I really hoped that she would built upon that... She seems to be out of touch and lost that "inimitable Utada quality" that made her previous J-pop albums so riveting. Still a big fan tho.

 | iGuter I really enjoyed Shin Godzilla. It had that biting social satire much like the original film ? standing on its own. That final shot in the film of Godzilla's tail was just haunting.

 | brokencycle I did find the record to be pleasant. Personally just a lot of the songs blended together, and only a few moments jumped out to me as exciting or memorable. I am willing for it to grow on me though as I do enjoy Emily's voice.

| Asdfp277 if i'm being honest, i have no idea how it will turn out lmao. she's been trying a lot of stuff lately, and while it seems she's kinda figuring out a particular and specific visual aesthetic, her music has been really out there, so idk. we can have hope, but it really depends on how much she learned from 'her Dead Petz'

| Britch2tiger At least the sound made up for the incomprehensible lyrics (being linguistically challenged and all, haha). I try to consider an album's strengths alongside it's faults no matter how incomprehensible.

| Britch2tiger Technically Boa (UK)'s first album is essentially Twilight w/ the first 3 tracks rearranged plus 2 new tracks and an acoustic version of Duvet.

| iGuter .I did like Shin Godzilla a lot. It's a Godzilla movie that actually wanted to say something for the first time in 50 years. Godzilla is just a destructive, dumb animal and the Japanese government keeps on having meetings which is obviously supposed to be a funny commentary on political actions. This Godzilla might be the most powerful and indestructible.
