 | macadoolahicky Was listening to that album today, and the first track is my favorite song at the moment, but a lot of the stuff after that just seems really downy and emotional (which is cool here and there, but not track after track usually). I'll give it another chance tomorrow, I didn't even have time enough to finish it. Thank you!

| maidenpmcc 100 tracks for every song, I read that. Time could really kick ass and blow alot of stuff out of water but then again, it could be bloated and over-blown like you said. Have a listen to the self-titled debut and tell me what you think of it after 3 years. You might dig it again like you once did.

| maidenpmcc Give it another listen and you might be surprised and say to yourself, dam i'm happy that dude told me to listen to it again lol. I personally think the album is awesome, it's quite epic and I can safely say IT IS a superb album regardless other's opinons. I don't know about this whole 'Time' album, it's taking years and I can see still taking years. It might surface in 2-3 years. Waiting for this is pissing EVERY fan off, it's beyond rediculas.

I then noticed that after 3 years, your rating for the album has dropped down to 3? I'm guessing the album didn't really stand the test of time (well 3 years). Is the album not as good as it was compared to when you first heard it? I'm guessing you got bored with it...

| Maniac! Ahh.. It frustrated the hell out of me that I cannot ever just sit down and say 'I am going to review this' then write 600 words on it. It is more like.. 'I wish I had something to review' then I hear an album that knocks me on my ass and I pump out a review in 30 minutes.

| 8bit Yeah, they won last night, 4-2. The hawks played pretty well. It was a real nail-biter since the hawks were down 2-0 early, but they eventually tied the game and with about a minute left in the game the hawks scored then potted an empty-net.

I am just incredibly curious as to what it takes to meet all your god like music tastes that are refined and tuned
beyond comprehension.
Just listen to music, find something that has groove, and enjoy; Why people here are so critical and judgemental on
absolutely anything that is released is beyond me. Prehaps people who post negative garbage here lack self-respect
and resort to online comment threads to show off a artificial sense of power and discernment to compensate for their
less than glamorous, ragged realities.
And to be honest, I'm not even a huge as I lay dying fan, I just find their music has presence, but I just had to take a
step back and look at you fools argue hopelessly by forming ridiculous arbitrary opinions on what is or isnt good
music. I have only seen this behavior here on sputnik since I have joined recently; I am just blown away by ignorance
and stupidity flourishing here.

 | Jom After. Band recognizance increased the later the night went. Some people knew Karnivool, others thought they were some Aussie APC knock-off, but EVERYBODY knew Fair to Midland. It was awesome.

| Jom What the hell? My first comment didn't post. Anyway, it was loud, catastrophic, and totally awesome (the only thing that sucked is that there was massive downtime between setlists... it was kinda like, what the hell? And I've never heard of the two opening acts and they weren't that great but they were passable). They have this new song called "Uh Oh" where Darroh has this toy megaphone thing and I dunno how it's going to sound on the album but live it was a stunner. New songs sounded amazing.

| Observer I know what you mean. It really takes a while to digest everything because of its length, too. It's going well. The writers are very friendly, and they're pretty talented, though I honestly can't say what we do is sputnik-staff quality. Are there any releases that you are looking forward to reviewing in the future?

| Observer Here it is: Sweet Trip - Velocity : Design : Comfort. They are an electronica outfit with female/males vocals on a few of the tracks. I'm enjoying it so far, a lot actually, and I thought you might like it based off your ratings. It has great reviews around the net, too. I loved that Lifeforms review by the way! I'm really enjoying that album right now.

You know, your rating (initial one!) is clearly visible in wikipedia; and what do you think ppl would think (in first time checking the album) when realizing that the initial rating they saw in wikipedia is now lowered to 2 (from 3.5) ? 'Oh, this is great album! No, wait! Is it?!'Sorry for sarcasm - i really think you're great reviewer - but could be better without 'mistakes' like this.Cheers!

| Bobek9 .... OR, you just rushed, and later seen that you've mistaken. But that also makes you bad reviewer (if ofc you change the rating so big like that, otherwise it doesn't). If you're staff reviewer, than by nature you should rate objectively not subjectively, and that means no changing if you personally don?t like it however objectively think it?s good (album), and i think that FOTD could get easily 2.5 from the staff reviewer who likes Maiden. (?)So, just wanted to say that in future .....

| Bobek9 Hey Mike, I think you're great reviewer, but i saw too many initially good (Maiden) rating dropped. Now, i understand it, if it's by little, but -1.5 down is big. That's FOTD for example. You could have given it 3.0 from the start (and not 3.5), cause now dropping to 2, just seems like you're not being honest from the start (that you calculated for reputation, but actually really dislike it) and it makes you bad reviewer. .....

| maidenpmcc i know what u mean man, it was the hype and anticipation. i had it aswell big time since they are my fav band in the world. AMOLAD dusnt touch any album from the golden period but its still a kick ass mind-blowing album. i cant wait for the 15th studio album, hopefully 2010 see's the album and not 2011. where you from mate? i seen maiden for the 2nd time in twickenham stadium and dey were jaw-dropping, especially with songs like rime and powerslave.

 | Jesuslaves You should definitely get on that then, it's great stuff. If you just want a quick primer on youtube or something, the best tracks are 44 Minutes, Bodies, Headcrusher, and How The Story Ends.
