| Blindsided I am interested in this Emilie Autumn girl. What can you tell me?
| Progmaster85 whey by the way, whats your favorite Dream Theater song?
| Progmaster85 oh wow really? I always found that one had to many weak tracks to be awesome. Eve of Seduction is outstanding however.
| Progmaster85 out of curiosity what is your 2nd fave symphony x album?
| Progmaster85 "Is it epic? Yes. Is it pretentious? Yes. Is it technical? Yes. Is it heavy? Yes. Is it a mother****ing beast of a record? You bet!"- Though I strongly disagree with you about Colors, it's things like this that make you one of my favorite writers on the site. Symphony X is magnificent!!!
| Progmaster85 he invited them to be on the first progressive nation tour, and on this tour he chooses among some of the best Progressive bands in the nation, and many unpopular ones as well.
| Progmaster85 To further prove my point I will use Dream Theater, as I can see that you are a pretty big fan of them as am I. Many of the songs in their more recent catalog are extremely disjointed and run in a similar to a fashion to certain tracks on Colors. In fact, even some of their old stuff features odd and continuing song structures that don't use choruses or other things of that nature. By the way, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater said his favorite album of that year was Colors and because of that...
| Progmaster85 listen to Mordecai off Silent Circus, tell me if that's disjointed.
| Smalley Yeah, I see that; pretty good reviews, Alt...
| Progmaster85 Don't get me wrong, your entitled to your opinion, and happen to be one of my favorite writers on the site. However, you attempted to bash colors by pointing out faults that happen to be strengths.
| Smalley Nice to see you on here too, Altmer = ) I recognize you from the GD forum as well...
| Willie "I am UltraViolence" wasn't a bad song, but the rest is whatever.
| Willie The new Sybreed is like Fear Factory meeets Samael? Where do you hear any of those influences (especially Samael)? It's Soilwork with electronics.
| Progmaster85 also, I was talking about the Death Magnetic soundoff you wrote with a friend and we just laughed. Thank you for providing me with a laughable Colors review and a condescending Metallica soundoff. It made my day. Now, I am done. You may now return to listening to Sonata Arctica. Even though they are very, very bad.
| Progmaster85 Lol nice fail. It's a well written sentence, but it's just so incorrect it's funny. When Beethoven and Bach wrote music, many of the songs were around 35-45 minutes and there were no choruses or verses. the lack of true organization in songs like Ants of the Sky and Sun of Nothing allow for a more unpredictable and more original approach to music.
| Progmaster85 "The fact one indulges in technicality and complexity doesn't excuse that person from immunity to write a good, coherent song."- You
| Userword Altmer... I knew that sounded familiar. You must be the same Altmer from Smogon too. That's cool how you became a mod of both sites as they are pretty popular. Anyway I like reading your reviews and I just recalled your name from Smogon so yeah.

| fireaboveicebelow If you play guitar by any chance, I figured out the acoustic version of Are You There
| Zip **** COLAHS
| Essence I am in yo shoutbox. Always wanted to say, I back you up 100% on your opinion about Colors.
| OllieS Hi Altmer. Have you heard of/ever checked out the band Tristania? They sound right up your alley being similar to loads of stuff you dig. Ollie
| Willie Honestly, I have to blame my mom. She's never listened to old music. I grew up hearing Metallica, Queensryche, and stuff like that.
