| Skweetis Type O Neg is pretty badass, October Rust is one of my favorites.

| Skweetis If you want their heavy abrasive stuff, then you should listen to the album "Cop" first, and then move on to "Holy Money" if you're interested.
If you want their experimental/acoustic/ambient work, you should start with "Soundtracks for the Blind" (which is 2 and a half hours long, but very good), then listen to either "The Great Annihilator" or "Children of God".
I've found that some of their stuff (especially Soundtracks for the Blind) takes a while to absorb.

| Skweetis The last half of the album was strong, really outweighed the first 4 songs for me. I'll give it another listen when I can.

| Skweetis Just listened to that Lazarus Bird album. I wasn't really into it, but I see what you mean, it reminded me a lot of Blood Moutain.

| Makemebad35 thanks man! and yeah, Jake is the creator of the music. You can try the links in my videos and navigate through his channel. He put up his album for free but that was back up on myspace. Not sure if he still has it up there or not.

| Skweetis Never heard of them, I'll go check em out in the next day or two and get back to you on that.
|
| Skweetis If you want to get into Mastodon I'd start with Blood Mountain (their best album in my opinion), and move to their heavier stuff which would be Remission and Leviathan, Crack The Skye is their most experimental. And I'd advise you listen to "Lifesblood" and "Call of the Mastodon" last because those are their two most amateur efforts.
