 | DatBeefPudding agreed, its the standout track on the album. i feel weird saying that because every single track is amazing, but dementia has some next level song writing on it. and i can't stress how amazing jesse is on this album. i didn't enjoy his melodies on impulse nearly as much as i do on here. not even close :3

 | ILJ Februus is definitely a step above s*** like Periphery. My only gripe is that it's a bit overwhelming to listen to. It's just so hard to get through in one listen. Other than that though, It's superb, definitely.

| nash1311 Check out the new Gideon album. My friend is the vocalist. I have it at a 3.5, and it would be higher, but it does have some seriously lame breakdowns in it that ruin some songs. You might like it though. Melodic hardcore/metalcore (Think TGI)

| iamSeraph Yeah, I actually think so. It surprised me a little bit, because it came that much out of nowhere. I gave some ATONEMENT tracks several spins back then but these never clicked. REDIRECT focusses more on the melodic as well as the heavy side and functions quite well as a kind of Misery Signals/The Ghost Inside hybrid, without getting too original though. Aside from that the clean singer isn't the best, but fortunately he has his moments. All in all an interesting listen, in your rating levels...

It's a fairly popular term along the Aussie east coast for music that mostly consists of open chords and drop D tuning, plenty of "chugging" and is written for moshing (hence the name) and not much else. "Moshcore" bands could also be labelled as metalcore. I'm not a huge fan of many bands who do this since it doesn't display much musical skill and can be fairly monotonous, but TGI is one exception.

| nash1311 Yeah I listened to it the other day and then I listened to it again the next day. I think I gave it a 4. It was pretty sweet, it's like misery signals but more ambient and with some sick solos. I think Dead Man was my favorite track. Or one of them.

 | KSK1 Yeah I agree about TGI although I am looking forward to their new album. And yeah I just get tired of the same song structure with every band. The whole riffs and breakdowns with harsh vox and a catchy clean sung chorus really does get old especially when every song is identical. Some bands pull it off, but it just sucks knowing that FTFD were so much better than that. I enjoyed a good amount of back burner simply for catchy-ness but Wasted Youth sounds horrendous so far.

 | loveisamixtape well the demo should be out next month, and the EP which will have all new songs in like december/january. the EP is going to be 10x better though, haha. we've already written a few songs for it and it's a big step up. i'm glad you like it though man, i was really hoping you would!

 | c0nf1n3d Musicians in my opinion are solid enough that they can even start a record deal, plus, 'musician' in genres can be interpreted many ways. I appreciate all different types of music, and appreciate musicianship in all ways. You don't have to agree with me at all though :)

| PinkBlackberry The breakdown near the end is what any Post-Hardcore band should aspire to write. China White is also a highlight for me, aswell as the Seduction. Very great CD.

| PinkBlackberry I am sorry sir. this site has kind of been getting on my nerves as of late. Anything I enjoy slightly is generic, my opinion is always shot down. So instead of fighting like I was doing for a while there, I just gave up. I still read here all the time and I am very actively downloading and checking the news, just not having much of a voice these days.

| PinkBlackberry Usually I'm way more relentless on releases like that and I 100% agree that the drumming was vastly sub par that's where the comparisons end between them and August Burns Red, also why ABR is much better as a band. The new MMF absolutely great I have had a weird musical shift as of late I have been enjoying generic stuff more than I ever have. I feel it's a little generic but they pull it off quite well. I really like the vocalist, like wayyyy to much I think.

Lovin' it so hard. especially hard on me because I've found a few new bands lately that I've been harsh digging on, so for me to devote a large large portion of my listening time over to Chiodos is a bitter-sweet type deal. But STOKED none-the-less ;)

| PinkBlackberry I think the one that really got me was "A fact of life" the vocals make the song for me..And the bass. and the rest of the songs he sound pretty much white I don't really notice any crazy amount of accent. So here's my question. HAVE YOU LISTENED TO PEIRCE THE VEIL YET? I'm still a fanboy. And I still want to convert you, because I feel like you are my favoritest sputnikian, and you need to enjoy Vic Fuentes' insanely high pitched yet delicious vocal delivery.
