 | Knott- Well, yeah. One of them hasn't turned up yet, haha. It's just a lot simpler than people've made out and a kick in the teeth. I don't need a Staff tag by my name for people to appreciate what I write here but on Monday when I post my White Lies write-up it won't get featured because there's a Staff review due. I'd rather have a platform to write where that wouldn't happen.

| Knott- I'll confess that the frankly ridiculous number of people who've shoutbox'd or facebook'd me saying I should stick around has done a lot to win me over! End of the day I'll always be round here, it's just a case of how much I contribute and how much I lurk, and this has discouraged me quite strongly from writing for sputnik. Not elsewhere, because I know I'm a good writer, but specifically here.

| Inveigh I like it a lot actually, way better than Human the Death Dance, A Healthy Distrust or the new one. I didn't realize I already had like 6 songs from it on my computer though haha. Crack Pipes, title-track, Climb Trees and Smoke and Mirrors are all early favorites.

| Knott- hey dude just forgot i neglected to comment on your concept review when you asked for comments etc. (ive been moving into spain so you know, more important things, soz) but basically, well written. if there's a criticism and in fairness there is, it's that you take an inital concept a bit too far when it doesn't have the mileage to last that long, but it's well written. also when it's not the 50th review for an album (like mine) it'sbetter to slam in some arbitrary information like genre.

| Inveigh Oh man, Audition is one of my favorite hip hop albums ever. Stand Up, Half-Cocked Concepts, A Teddy Bear and a Tazer and especially P.O.S. Is Ruining My Life are all classics in my book (along with every other song, hah). I didn't know Cecil Otter was on Sage's label, I thought he was just on Doomtree Records. But he's great, really deep lyrics. Check out the album Rebel Yellow, it's good stuff.

| Knott- Main advice is just to be confident about the angle you take. If you're apologetic it won't work. As long as it feels natural and comfortable it should turn out great.

| Knott- Haha, not gonna lie - there was a small amount of ego-stroking involved, but there was nothing pretentious in my head while I was writing, just the idea of how the record made me feel. I felt like it was important to choose a record that was more important for its atmosphere and unrelenting approach than its intricacies. Deja worked a treat.

| Inveigh I've been listening to a lot of early metalcore, like Coalesce, Botch, Converge and Cave In. Also been digging Dessa's new album, along with some Radiohead and old Chili Peppers stuff. I'll look into Light This City, I love At the Gates.

| Bulldog I recommend listening The State vs. Radric Davis, his older stuff he has a lazy flow and slurs (now he's greatly improved.) Although his lyrics are basically funny/blizzardous and his beats are AWESOME throughout his career.  | Trundle I found it to be incredibly average. Honestly, Wu-tang hasn't done anything special since their debut. Obviously Liquid Swords is a good album but I just havent really enjoyed Wu-tang since 36 chambers. For one thing Cuban Linx is incredibly long. Sure there are a few good tracks but, this feels like a generic modern hiphop album, and the lyrical subject matter portays it. I don't know, Sputnik seems to adore this album but I wasn't really impressed, like Rakim's new album: The Seventh Seal

| Inveigh yeah I definitely understand now. A buddy of mine railed on Aesop for the longest time and I found out Bazookatooth was all he had.. now he digs him. Maybe go on youtube and check out some of the songs I mentioned (None Shall Pass, Five Fingers, Daylight) and see if you like it better. Cheers dude.

| Inveigh ouch, Bazookatooth is easily my least favorite by him. A couple good songs, sure, but mostly mediocre-to-bad stuff. Labor Days is his best, but I'd start with None Shall Pass and then get Labor Days.
