Learning the tin whistle, aspiring to be a fire breather, training for a competition which I will most likely break and arm or leg, it's just the way of the wayward mind. | Powerban I've met them before too, cool guys. I wanted to catch them here but I'm saving all my money to move to QLD in Feb. My friends "girlfriend" works for Fasterlouder and she gets to do all kinds of interviews with bands (gets free tickets too). She interviewed Dino a while back when FF were meant to tour in August.

| Powerban Yeah just for some clarity, I wouldn't compare them to CoL at all. They're more like The Cure or something. His voice is amazing. They're about a 4/5. Just wondering how much post-rock you listen to outside of the main bands though? And if you actually want more and don't mind insturmental stuff.

| Powerban Well there is a band called Khoma which is a side-project of Cult Of Luna (Similar to Isis). They're not Post-Metal at all though, But they're more post-rockish/alt-rock with all clean vocals. Tracks to listen to: Like Coming Home, Sleep, Medea, The Guillotine (At around about that order too)

| Powerban Their influences are Sigur Ros, Mogwai etc. They're kinda like a less dense, less overwhelming Sigur Ros with female vocals. Really great if you're the type of person who puts music on to sleep.

My holidays were fine: dropped in on a few parties, but mostly just stuck around the house with all the relatives and suffered through a snowstorm (which is a big deal in Texas). The usual uneventful but fun time. i wrote a ton of music too, which was prolly the best part lol. And how were yours? i've always wondered what Christmas would be like in the summer.

| ThePalaceOfWisdom it's funny actually that sputnikmusic is one of the few vbulletin powered websites that doesn't make use of the infraction system.Could be that vbulletin is only used for the forums but still the warning system is used by the majority of sites and you actually get informed that you're annoying the moderators, it'd be much more effective than the current system.

Mainly because there's a few girls in my life who I'd actually consider dating so I didn't want to seem cheap by hooking up and moving on. Also, I'd say most of the women there had more experience with sausage then a german delicatessen. So not really my type.

| ThePalaceOfWisdom I say 7/10 mainly due to the lesser amount of women and 37 degree weather. As far as the drinking twas epic and strangely there were several girls dressed as flight attendants and sailors. Many mile high club and seamen/semen jokes were made. It was awesome.
