| Veldin Public castration is a good idea.
| BandNewbac BTW nice rating for the gate, i personally think that's better than the new record.
| BandNewbac seeing as gira uses lyrics he wrote for sonic youth on the song "the world looks red" it would make sense at this point in his career (the closure of this lineup) that he would go back and reference some of his contemporaries
| BandNewbac The book it self's subject matter does make sense for the title of the song, seeing as it explores both spiritual, scientific and metaphysical thought. But the idea of a "cloud of forgetting" is almost certainly a reference to the book, the lyrical subject matter of the new record definitely deals with such things. however the two songs in succession would further suggest that Gira was openly referencing David Tibet.
| BandNewbac I'm aware of the work but since Gira has openly admitted to being a big fan of Tibets lyrics and music, and knowing that the current 93 song "The Cloud of Unknowing" has lyrics that relate more directly to the work than Giras do on that song, i figured it could be Gira tipping his hat to Tibet as well as the written work by the same title albeit the original title was something different, which probably makes it more likely for it to be a direct reference to the current 93.

| Deviant. Strangely enough it was my mum - back in the day when I still lived at home she used to play a lot of old Gatecrasher comps and chillout/trip hop stuff like Tosca, Kruder and Dorfmeister, and stuff liked Leftfield. So yeah, just naturally rubbed off on me
