 | DaveyBoy Hey hey Rowdy one. Got my tickets and am ready to cheer on the kangas loudly come Saturday night. Of course, no-one will hear us, as usual! Sorry about being a pies supporter. LOL. But yeah, way too many injuries to make finals this season. All good for me otherwise, but a couple of happenings have meant I listened to less music mid-year. I should be back into it now, but for an unexplainable reason Im not. Just have to wait and see what happens I guess.

| DaveyBoy Oh well, at least you enjoyed it. Very much looking forward to the Foals LP and trying not to build up expectations. I probably should not have listened to the 2 tracks released thus far then, as I like both of them a fair bit. As for Tame Impala, Im not really into psychedelic music, but I must say i enjoyed that LP a fair bit. I can only take so much of that sound though. Hence why I like that current single a fair bit. Its short.

| DaveyBoy No, but I did read a review somewhere that piqued my interest. I presume you are recommending it. I was disappointed with the BDO lineup despite many liking it. Only really 4 bands I strongly wanna see, and Ive already seen 2 of them before. Not enoungh on the undercard for me unfortunately.

| DaveyBoy I know, I know. And I practically never have separate ratings. Its more that I still have to pick it apart before reviewing and Im not confident it will remain a 4. Still a chance though. Just me being pessimistic I guess. Or playing mind tricks with myself. LOL. Ive only heard the album twice right now, so everything Ive said is subject to change.

| DaveyBoy I asked the staff a while back re the Color Spectrum and I think we are going with the whole collection. I better check again though, so thanks for reminding me. As for BDO, I was happy it had not sold out. We were close to getting tix after 1st announce coz my better half loves MCR and Kasabian, and I am hanging out to see Jezabels. All it needed was Florence, damn it.

| DaveyBoy Poor FFAF. Three times I have seen them and three times something has gone wrong. Thought they were gonna kill their roadie at one stage. Yeah, I liked Panic. Took me a while to get used to them rocking their songs up so much. Drugs were up and down imo.

| DaveyBoy Oh yes, I forgot about your contacts. haha. Ummm, Story of the Year were 1 and Yellowcard were 2. Unsure after that. The technical problems on the left stage were a pain in the ass. But really, I was impressed with all acts to some degree. And hey, whoevere thought we would see a mosh to Rolling in the Deep.

| DaveyBoy Its not just the accent I guess. The lyrics as well, but mostly the over enunciating. I mean, if Jimmy Barnes can hide the accent. LOL. And I will have to get around to Frank Turner this year I guess, since Im sure he will be up there on the staff list come December.

| DaveyBoy Yeah, that song was pretty darn good. I like all of the individual components really. My only question mark is if they have enough to distingusih themselves. But if theyre just starting out, hopefully they will figure that out with time and experience.

| DaveyBoy Exactly. I dont associate myself with them either. I can take twee pop like Los Campesinos and multi instrumental bands like Arcade Fire, but these guys have grated on me so much in the past. Oh well, to keep our reviewing sharp, we must review different kinds and quality of music.

| DaveyBoy In Case We Die is a 2 for me. Almost the entire 2nd half is awful imo. Their newie is their best, but only because its half normal. LOL. I do like the funky Prince vibe ona few songs though. As for PATD, I am certain I will like it if the album is similar to the lead single. Have yet to hear the album though.

| DaveyBoy As strange as it sounds, I think I'm going to pass. I saw them twice in the space of 8 months only 14 months ago, so I dont think this show will deliver anything too new. Especially since its at the same venue.

| DaveyBoy Yeah, Endgame review will hopefully be up by its US release date of Tuesday. Planning to get FFAF review up tomorrow or Sunday. Umm, hard to tell you where to start re FFAF as it depends if you prefer post hardcore or mainstream rock. They have fluctuated their sound a lot.

| DaveyBoy I might add some Aussie comedy to that blog too. Hehe. Yeah, I have given Endgame 2 listens, but have been caught up wrapping my head around Funeral For A Friends album to review that first. I liked Appeal To Reason a lot and think this is a small step down because of a lack of a Savior. Otherwise, its anoother strong and consistent LP that gets stuck in the same gear a little too much.
