| Sowing nope, ask here: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647260
| Britch2tiger You ought to try listening to Rishloo's Eidolon album. The soundscapes and singing are much better on that album in comparison to Terras Fames.
| sramisetty Hey, it's been over a year since you recc'd me AMDBL's Bloom in my shoutbox. I still go back to it, thanks for turning me on to that!Sorry for taking over a year to reply; I've switched over to using Rateyourmusic (https://rateyourmusic.com/~sramisetty). It's a great resource for finding obscure albums on user lists - Although I don't know if you'd find it as useful as sputnik (seeing how many album ratings you have here!)I do highly recommend that Gnaw Their Tongues album, by the way :)

| unclereich http://wetpetals.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-ii
| heck unfortunately I didn't get to witness their beginnings first-hand or anything, that was a bit before my time. I didn't really even get into their music until after Awake? was released. but I know people from that area who are into the local music scene, including some who were around to watch them grow, and they're definitely still a source of pride and an influence there.
| heck haha, no problem. they actually originated in my hometown. they were pretty much the pride and joy of the (small) hardcore/metal community around there, so I felt obligated to point it out.
| Muppelope Yeah it was killer. Hope the rest stacks up!
| Toondude10 yeah that was sweet, it has an old Zao vibe to it.
| AFalseWinter I also saw yr dgd review I think it was good regardless
| AFalseWinter Yo nerd my band just released a demo here it is watch out or whatever https://soundslikeslurry.bandcamp.com/album/demo-2015-or-we-didnt-want-to-call-this-an-ep
| Snake. I WANT TO BEEEEEEEEEEEE THE CLAY IN YR HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDS
| Pon Lovely avatar
| DarkNoctus you should totally listen to my new ethereal shroud record!
| deathschool Atlas Drugged is a basically masterpiece to me, but with your criticisms of the band I guess I could see why you wouldn't like it.
| deathschool Have you checked Look What I Did's other albums?
| Jots any upcoming releases worth looking out for?
| BMDrummer https://bluemistbands.bandcamp.com/album/false-euphoria-ep pls jam, i think you'll dig :]
| Beauville88 Thanks!I agree, I find it odd that I seem to be the "reverse" Circa Survive fan here on Sputnik (loved Blue Sky Noise and Violent Waves, with everything else being decent). Didn't really understand the praise the album was getting, so I thought I'd add a counter-point.
| Jots check my current dig, you'd like it I think
| peartnoy Alright! Just make sure to tell me what you think of it when you eventually listen to it. I'm open to criticism so don't be afraid to tell me everything haha
| JokineAugustus What's up? I barely see you post anymore, and I see you already passed 2k ratings. I haven't even reached 1k as you can tell.
| ReAnimator hell yeah, Mortal Treason was my jam lol
| peartnoy Have you got a chance to check out my EP (Eternal Closure-Ad Primum) yet? I think you'd like it a lot.
| Deviant. Ampersands don't work in shoutboxes either dude. Try again
| KOSTER Trust me, you don't want to hear that album. I recommend Myrimin for unknown black metal, check out Bolota Ohta by Myrimin on YouTube.
| YakNips those new coma regalia songs thoooooo
| vineh I'm. Thanks for the gesture :D
| treos777 It's really nothing special the last two Underoath songs easily top everything on here by a mile.
| treos777 Have you given SLeepwave's debut a listen and if so what did you think of it? I was pretty disappointed even though my expectations had lowered after the three early songs that were released...
| Mercy Hey! Thank you, I've had accounts on this site before but I figured I'd come back. Thanks for the welcome.
| robin well, i mean, send me a shout if you do, i'm very spotty with sputnik these days, i just come here to rate the s*** out of things
| robin hi! yeah the lyrics are very very literal and very very bad. i can't get past that. have fun reviewing! :)
| TheSpirit found it: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/257620041155613508/
| TheSpirit Someone actually posted it in a group on facebook, so I don't have a url unfortunately :/
| CrimsonLies And apologies for the late reply! I haven't been on for a couple months so don't think I was ignoring your shout or anything :]
| CrimsonLies Hey, thanks man! I guess you would have to be the first for that, you don't see compliments on sput every day, ahah!
| BlackDragon You're welcome! I just took a listen to Through the Thorns. I definitely like their sound. Thanks for the rec!
| BlackDragon Arvinger, Dying Blaze, Enshrouding (sort of blackened death metal), Erasmus, Eternal Emperor, Stronghold, Vardoger, and Wintersoul are all pretty good unblack bands that you might not have heard yet.
| BlackDragon I've been doing good, thanks for asking! How are you? I see your ratings a lot as well! I guess we have similar tastes. :)
| Jots Meh, I don't really collect cassettes. Appreciate the offer though
| Jots thanks man, glad you liked
| Judio! That's right haha, gotta fit as much music into the next few weeks as humanly possible! Gonna be going to Arizona State University. And that's cool, what do you do for work?
| Judio! Ah, I see. I'm doing great man, about to start college in a few weeks so I'll probably also be going on Sputnik less pretty soon. Hope you've been doing well too, feels like forever since we last chatted or plugged together.
| PitchforkArms yeah hardjammers still jams hard but its not busy as regularly
| PitchforkArms every now and again, its hard to find a good plug unless someone links it up
| PitchforkArms Musk Ox is a mustCheck Mimicking Birds - Eons (thank foxy if you see him lol) Brontide - Artery is funComrades - Safekeeper is one of my favsits actually been a decent year
| PitchforkArms Truth is, i miss ya, lol. I've been great, started reviewing a lot more. have you ben keeping up with 2014?
| Artuma they are one of the best agreed hard
| YakNips Hey dude just wanna say that your soundoff for Saetia's S/T is absolutely beautiful
| Artuma thanks man it's the best album
| treos777 http://otherminds.bandcamp.com/releases You should give this band a listen I think they're pretty swell.Oh and hello again haven't spoken in a very long time haha. Hope all is well!
| Necrotica Nah man. Is it good? I haven't been keeping up with his newer material as much lately
| SPRFanOf5H Oh I will my friend. First concert will be great, and I'll be able to write alot more reviews here this summer especially with the amount of down time I'll have.
| SPRFanOf5H I'm doing great man, thanks for asking. How about you? Gonna put out my 14th review today so that's nice, already there and I haven't been here a month so it's cool. Summer hopefully will go down nice this year, last few have been total s*** so hope it changes especially with going to concerts now finally and stuff.
| scottpilgrim10 Danny and Arin seem to get along better than Arin/Jon did but Danny's comedy is way to safe and predictable sometimes. I mean they are still funny but they rely on running jokes all the time. Jon's comedy was unpredictable therefore more funny. GG needs to mix things up by starting a new awesome series or something.
| scottpilgrim10 Sweet! It's always nice to see a fellow lovely on Sput. I see you're digging Grant Kirkhope ATM, his guest grumps episode was soo good, I can't believe I've been waiting over a year for the second guest grumps. Anyways who do you prefer Jon or Danny?
| SPRFanOf5H Even sadder is that I haven't been to a single concert yet in my short life, bummer but it'll change soon. I get the fantastic honors of seeing Austin Mahone perform with guys like The Vamps, Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony in early August har har. Only going for 5H really, plus the VIP experience I get with em. Hate the rest of these guys with a burning passion haha. Thanks for reading my latest Shaq review man, appreciate it alot and hopefully you'll check out my next one on Galantis tomorrow.
| SPRFanOf5H Thanks again man. Unfortunately because his fifth record only released like 4 singles and held off ever releasing the final product I couldn't review that. Shame too, that was my final Shaq review here on Sputnik which sucks but hey its alright. Gonna whip up a well-needed review on the EP released by Swedish dance duo Galantis and get it ready for tomorrow. Was supposed to go to Coachella to see them, but never did which sucks.
| AngryNeighbor Yeah haha, I've thought of adding it myself, but album title was a problem :)Nvm, that masterpiece should be on here!
| whaka I'm just a fan of albums with pink covers, haven't you seen my Loveless and Sunbather ratings?
| SPRFanOf5H Well same here on sarcasm. Still, I will do what I can to earn my respect and due here and I hope we can chat more in the future. I guess this is my first taste of "the real world". I gotta go, but hey I like ya man and lets talk more :)
| SPRFanOf5H Yeah ill definitely be smarter to not put out stuff like that from now on. It was a bit personal that I really wanted to share here, but I certainly won't try that again. I just wish I can that list, I am trying to ensure that I can please everybody here as best as I can.
| SPRFanOf5H Thanks for the nice comment! I could really use alot of that now, I'm seriously getting ridiculed for my first user list which was a pretty important one because I felt like ppl were starting to really like me here.
| MuhNamesTyler Your shout box post ultimately led to the demise of the screen on my iPod (thought I'd let you know so you feel terrible/happy) lmao but yeah Renounced are ****in sweet, surprised to see someone reppin it on sputnik.
| Solbrave "i'm dying.""is it blissful?""it's like GOIN HARD IN THE MUH****IN PAINT NIGGA""WHAT THE **** YOU THINKIN NIGGA?"
| mkamrass YESSS!!!!!! Band of Brothers!!!!
| Judio! http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=143448 Check it if you get the chance, dude :)
| BoiledHippos Thank you for the warm welcome. It's much appreciated.
| GmemberKills If you care here's my demo. http://crookedsun.bandcamp.com/releases
| AFalseWinter Tite! I'm in Cigarette Smoke and here are some old, sadsack songs. http://soundslikeslurry.bandcamp.com/
| AFalseWinter My band played a show with Sinai last summer and we've kept in touch. Lit budss
| AFalseWinter I might be doing a thing with Caleb from Sinai.
| aok Please enjoy. Hell Yes
| aok Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God?s will is?his good, pleasing and perfect will.
| cryptside Yeah, it's also name your price on Deep Elm records if you'd like to go that route. :)
| cryptside Thank you, I appreciate the praise; agree with you about the punctuation errors that plague the site. I loved this one, and definitely recommend it. Let me know what you think if you check it out.
| cryptside Hey friend, was wondering if you minded checking out my most recent review. I'd like to get some feedback on it from users that I respect, so let me know if you have the time.
| JokineAugustus It rules. I need to hear it more, but I'm getting distracted with so much other stuff.
| boredcore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61uaIXjNb3g x
| boredcore Didn't see yr post dude, but thanks for the welcome. I was an extra in one of DPU's videos that didn't get released funnily enough! ha. the old bassist is in a new band though called Brawlers who are like DPU but less grungy and more pop punk. check it out! recommend Instagram Famous.
| Guzzo10 Or on "35" where the crashing drums, and the chaos of the chorus simulate the event that just occurred. There was just so much to like with this album.
| Guzzo10 I like both a lot. I actually didn't enjoy Wildlife when it first came out, but after I got used to it I really enjoyed it. This album really does abandon just about every sound they had on Somewhere at the Bottom, but I was more prepared for this than I was with Wildlife. I just think that the band sounds so much more focused on a common goal here. They know how to make a subdued, sorrowful lead guitar line for a backdrop on tracks like the "Woman's" (My favs).
| Guzzo10 Yeah, I'm really not understanding the hate the site is giving it. Well, not necessarily "Hate" per se, but not the praise I think it deserves. I actually felt pretty bad after I posted my review, because when I started on the review there was no other review. After I posted it I noticed we posted at like the same time. Really enjoyed your review though, sorry about the bump off :/. But there are like 4 sites that have posted reviews for this so far and they've all gave it high praise.
| cryptside No worries, the review was very articulate. It's one of the best that I have read in while because it described the music well while still allowing for some personal interpretation.
| JokineAugustus ahh cool. Wish I could meet some of the guys on here one day. There are some pretty cool users.
| Trebor. I worked so hard on it though
| Trebor. You didn't like led zeppelin V :(
| PitchforkArms hey dude, we played for locktender again yesterday and it kicked ass. packed show, and great tunes. did you check out the stream for their new record??
| YakNips Yeah I didnt know that actually, I'll write a review soon :)
| RxQueer Thank you for the welcome! Yeah, I'm new. Sorry for the late reply, I was solving some family situations.
| Ryus at the gates AT THE GATES m/
| YourDarkAffected Indeed! I stumbled upon it looking up lost in translation and thought it would be the perfect profile picture. Favorite movie ever
| Ryus sup dude! your 5s rule by the way
| FearThyEvil Sup man, I definitely seen you around on this site. Good taste too
| Mort. hey man that wood spider band just released a new album like a week ago
| omik1116 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii49DFmXf3QHere's another one for you if you have the time to take a listen.
| GmemberKills I love you and your appreciation for my profile pic. Also your a pro when it comes to music.
| ethos emery's cool, im just not too into them. lol at the consecutive knockoff neutral milk hotel avatar shoutouts
| laughingman22 Subrosa released one my favorite albums of 2013 so their live set was amazing, and I think deafheaven was more fun a second time.
| laughingman22 Sweet, I super excited to hear it myself. Where you able to make it to the subrosa/deafheaven show?
| Judio! Haha no problem. And thanks, I hope you like it! It has a higher rating than my EP on Sput so far so I think you'll dig.
| omik1116 They created that 'wall of sound' thing you heard on 'Psalms' on like every song. "Middle Missing" is close to 6 minutes, and it just sounds massive. As strange an adjective as it is, this is the most soothing screamo record I've ever heard. This is now my unwinding album. "Shouldn't Have Used Black Magic," "Middle Missing," and "Letter to my Child" are my favorites. You're in for a treat.
| omik1116 Just got an email from Flannel Gurl with a DL code for the Caution Children!
| atrink Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words.
| 2453 Only now I realize their homepage's dead. That EP had been a free download for ages man. Kinda disappointing. But well, at least you found it :D I have to say I'm pretty biased considering this EP. It has accompanied me on my listening journey since its release back in 2010 and I always came back to it since :D
| 2453 Finally listened to A Great Big Pile of Leaves today. Pretty chill stuff, i can certainly dig it :D
| mindleviticus haha sorry man i was pretty stoned. I just think Music For Airports is pretty overrated.
| laughingman22 after one listen I like off minor more just because there seems to be more of those jazzy post rocky segments (or atleast I noticed it happening more), but I liked both a lot
| mindleviticus lol Brian Eno Ambient 1: Music For Airports that album is so dated
| laughingman22 I know, what is going on, I'm trying all these genres that I would not have touched with a ten foot pole a year ago
| laughingman22 yeah off minor is my first taste of screamo/emo and I have to say I enjoy the heat death of the universe a lot more than I expected to. Just listened to saetia yesterday too
| MusicTalent Same here, I haven't even listened to Team Sleep yet though
| MusicTalent I was creeping on your 5's you like Deftones and Smashing Pumpkins. Great choices I should rate soon
| sunofwhales Thanks a lot seņor, I appreciate the outreach!
| laughingman22 did you get a chance to check judio and my split, how does it sound on cassette?
| Brostep Thanks! Super pumped to be writing up there.
| Judio! Sure, let me know after you listen to it. I ordered my cassette over the weekend and I'm really excited to get it!
| Judio! Wow, that is really cool! How does my album sound on cassette?
| 2453 Listened to Heir a few seconds ago. It left me speechless.
| 2453 Native Wildlife is a band I really admire for their musical progress. No release sounds the same, yet still in it's own rights awesome. Their first EP for example sounded, at least to me, very reminiscent of bands like Defeater or Verse, while upping the atmosphere and catchiness by incorporating some pretty haunting lead lines.I in turn listened to Merchant Ships. What if pre-Wildlife Jordan Dreyer decided to front a midwest emo outfit partly inspired by greats like Saetia? Awesomeness ensues.
| chemicalmarriage Cool cool, yeah he has a cool site up I see, Potsy also offered to put some music on a comp in the near future, if either of them use the music for anything I'm very cool with it. Surprising amount of support from the site tho. You dudes are pretty awesome
| chemicalmarriage Killer man! I hope you dig some of it. If you have any jams online just let me know, I love to hear what users are up to. Thanks dude!
| 2453 This is what I could think of:1) Native Wildlife - "A Simple Life, A Quiet Mind" 2) Boxer/Eyes Wide "Split" (especially Boxers side) 3) Pacifica - "The Process of Illumination" EPYeah, I'll do, but you too! :D
| 2453 Great, I'm going to give 'em a spin.Well, it could take a while for me to figure out some artists/records you're not aware of yet and could possibly like, as you have almost thrice as many ratings as me.But I'll try my hardest to give you some recs as soon as possible.
| 2453 Thanks, dude, yours too! Which bands/records would you recommend, based on my taste?
| BlacKapes yep, ill be listening and rating to more since my ratings got wiped and i dont feel like rating all the industrial albums i had again lol
| Mort. yes you 5d it!! yeah its a beautiful ep, its modern scream done perfect
| BlacKapes not intentionally by any means, im just listening to sputnik artists
| Lord(e)Po)))ts thanks bud. I might just download it off what.cd if its on there anyway, I liked to archive all the s*** I listen to
| Mort. my friend, I see your getting into much scream, I see you have listened to suis la lune - quiet pull the strings and now I must implore you to listen to their ep "heir". it is a short ep, which can be found on youtube and it is very very good.
| YakNips Yeah I get you. I remember digging what I've heard of that band though.
| YakNips Dude thanks so much for your purchase! I'll ship it out today hopefully
| YakNips I believe I fixed it, but I'm not 100% positive. Try it now.
| YakNips Okay, I understand why it's not working. I'll fix this as soon as I get home.
| YakNips Bro, I have no idea why. They payment should go straight to my PayPal account, Idk man. I guess I'll make a new one, since there are some issues with mine currently, but I mean it says I can accept payment and I have done that for digital downloads in the last few days, so that is odd.
| Gnocchi You should check my bong review
| omik1116 Hey I saw you soundoff-ed Funeral Diner. Definitely check out Difference of Potential by them, too. The intro to Syncope is reason enough.
| YakNips Yay :D I just want to help passionate artists out
| laughingman22 I haven't bought tickets yet either because I just found out and I have no way to buy anything at the moment
| YakNips I'd be happy to release whatever you make :)
| YakNips Dude they are huge :3 Maybe I could do a split release with them. But yeah I understand if you'd rather go with them, since they're yknow.. better
| laughingman22 sweet, also I am hoping to go to the deafheaven/subrosa show on the 16th. Have you made plans to go to that?
| YakNips Lol I didn't know I had you on FB. What was the other label that contacted you? I must know who my enemies are
| YakNips Wait a second... your Micah?
| laughingman22 wow everyone wants you. What type of music are you thinking of making
| YakNips I'll definitely come up there if I ever go on tour :)
| YakNips Nice! Id love to live in the state with legal weed :D I hope you guys get a band put together soon, I really dig your taste
| YakNips Damn man, where you at now?
| YakNips Bro skramz with keys sounds badass. I play guitar, but I guess that Im not local to you probably :P
| Judio! Oh sorry, I just saw your shoutbox post. Thanks for the support, I'm glad you like my stuff enough to buy it! Seriously made my day. I'll keep you posted if I release anything else.
| laughingman22 also let me know if you put out any recordings, I saw you make a list awhile ago about starting a band
| Judio! Thanks for your soundoff for my album, man. Means a lot :)
| laughingman22 yeah yak is awesome. both him and judio supported me when I was nervous about sharing my music. I am planning to support the label as soon as I can get my credit card, and it would be awesome if you could buy a tape
| YakNips That's sweet man, what do you play? I always love user bands, maybe we could do like a split or something. But yeah definitely hit me up once you guys get going!
| YakNips Hey man I heard you skramz pretty hard, you make any music of your own? I could always use more skramz for my label :)
| Mort. ah that's good then man I wish him the best of luck. and btw I see your getting into skramz, well done. funeral diner is very very good. especially "its good that me and you never met."
| StallionMang Np m8, and yeah Nayru is fantastic, been jamming em a lot lately. If you need anymore recs, lemme know
| StallionMang Oh definitely check their self-titled, it's a masterpiece of post-rock/screamo and totally essential. I'd also rec Funeral Diner - The Underdark, Suis La Lune - Heir, and Nayru - Recollections
| StallionMang Sweet dude best of luck to you guys, and thanks! I've been getting into skramz recently too, and while I've heard quite a few albums, YakNips is the man you wanna go to for recs. He's way into the obscure side of skramz, and looking at your ratings you've pretty much listened to most of the essentials anyway. Have you heard of City of Caterpillar?
| butchinette hey! thanks for the shoutout! do you have any recs for me? :)
| omik1116 Haha yes I do: omik11303. That's my username for Deadformat and Vinyl Collective, too.
| omik1116 That's sweet. They do seem like stand-up guys, and thats cool of them to appreciate your review. Mesa Verde is another one of my favorites, yes, and I, Robot's S/T 7" is a screamo classic. Another one worth checking out is definitely. Carrion Spring "A Short History of Decay". Let me know what you think!
| omik1116 Man you're more dedicated than me. I just picked up the blue variant. Just wondering, have you ever listened to anything from Rinoa, Mesa Verde, or I, Robot?
| omik1116 That new Caution Children song is so good! Especially that guitar at the end, I love it. Did you ever get a chance to pre-order the vinyl?
