| bakkermaarten007 Like for instance: Mineral would be considered midwest emo and A Bunny's Caravan (I mention them because I see your rating) is clearly not. Although ABC uses lots of emo characteristics (yelled vocals, wall of sound by the double guitars, ), the laid back quiet parts and the outbursted loud parts are for the most part absent. You'll become more comfortable in identifying bands as midwestern emo as you'll listen to the genre longer =)

| bakkermaarten007 Are you asking me because of something I wrote in a thread or just a regular question? Anyway, it's not all that different but it's the style that originated in the Midwest of the USA by bands like Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate and Jimmy Eat World. Lots of fixation on Quiet/loud parts and the so called 'twinkly' guitars (but I hate that term)

| bakkermaarten007 Oh, and Youth Pictures Of Florence Henderson- Unnoticeable in a Tiny Town, Invisible in the City. It's not quite alike to ABC but it's from the same label and also an emo approach to post-rock.

| bakkermaarten007 I suggest: Elliott- Song In The Air (emo/post-rock), Immanu El - They'll Come They'll Come (post-rock with beautiful vocals), Aurore Rien (ambient/post-rock. More specifically the songs 'Hindsight 20/20' and 'Between the View And You' have vocals that are really emo and like those of ABC, the rest isn't really akin), A Red Season Shade - The Outcome Fosters Detachment
