| Tunaboy45 Politicians are never going to be able to please everyone and solve all the problems, and that's just how it is. If there's one phrase that's overused/misused in politics, it's "your vote counts". It's not necessarily wrong, it just isn't correct in certain situations. Especially when you're voting for a smaller party that barely gets any votes from the rest of the population.

Especially in this serial monogamy culture, where 'everyon' just hops in and out of relationships like they try on clothes.You might not ever forget her, be it for the worst or for the best. | bakkermaarten007 It's a quote from a stupid tv show (louis louis), but this illustrates splendidly what I mean by the phasing between aching passionately- the existentialistic awareness perhaps?- and growing passionless/cynical but just functioning. Maybe you can get something out of it: "That's the worst part, when the want goes. That's bad. I mean suffering is one thing, not having is one thing. But when you just don't care anymore?"

| bakkermaarten007 What I meant by 'I do miss the passion I once had' is that I've become very cynical. If I look around me I see there are many people out there who are just like that and who used to be passionate and sincere. I guess that's the turning point one has to make if the aching of the heart is overwhelming. Either grow cynical or learn to channel your passion. I failed at the latter, make no mistake: it's good that you have that stir in you.

| bakkermaarten007 I think I get what you mean, I've been in a similar situation for years. It may seem like all there is, is nothingness but the fact that you let that discussion get to you, must have made it clear there's still that passion that I meant. You protested, felt that it was unfair! THat's the passion that slumbers in you. Though it could've been used for worthier goals than waste it on here =)

| bakkermaarten007 I do miss the passion I once had though, the passion I can see in you. It does a lot of good and makes you feel very human, 'grounded to earth' so to speak, but it can wreak havoc on your mentality, it's exhausting. I miss it, but then again I know I can function better in this idea of a society without as much of it.Take a break from this site if you need it, but I hope you'll come back. And if you don't, I wish you all the best in your real life. Take care

| bakkermaarten007 You should stay. I think you're not in a particularly great time of your life, right? If that's the case, I know how easy it can be to take every comment here at heart, but as you will become happier/ more stabile you will see that everything that's said means nothing. Think about it this way: would any comment on here make a direct difference in your physical life whether you saw it or not? No, ofcourse it wouldn't, it's only you who can decide what impact it'll have.
