Many tracks on Night Visions are fantastic, and the production value is very high. "Underdog" is my least favorite song on the album. The song starts with an odd kung-fu vibe, then randomly kicks into annoying electronic vibe, supported by incredibly weak vocals and an awkwardly put together song. However I think this album is very well worth your money. Songs like "It's Time", "Radioactive", "Bleeding Out", and "Demons" really are what grabbed my attention. Well worth your money, just don't waste your time on underdog. rPros: Production value, nice vibe, hard-hitting choruses, Percussion.rCons: Repetitive in some places, "Underdog".rFavorite songs: 1.Bleeding Outr2. I didn't really want to listen to this. Alas, a never-decreasing urge to fully understand the past decade's cultural environment forced me to do so - it charted at #7 on the decade-end US Billboard 200. So. If Imagine Dragons both charted so well and gathered many criticisms, it's because of one trend only: the addition of electronic elements into what was traditionally considered as alternative rock. This trend doomed many successful bands - who cared about Muse after they went electronic? - but it instead guaranteed mass success to ID. Truth be told, this is super bland. It's polished, it tries to be powerful, but eventually fails because of its overall lack of depth. The band's goal is evident here: make you feel bigger. Such a goal is laudable, if only the material is on par. You listened to this? Did you remember much, aside from the played-to-death "Radioactive"/"Demons", and that mandoline hook on "It's Time"? No? Me neither.

Yeah this sucks radio pop rock bad music. It's music that tries to hype itself up by being ceaselessly epic and bombastic, but has absolutely no personality or genuine emotional input. It just feels like shallow, perfectly polished music built for TV commercials, rather than music written to actually be enjoyed by fans.

Seriously it?s like his voice and his bandmates instruments were meant to be together!rThe Band name: Imagine Dragons is actually an anagram. But the band hasn?t released to the public (or their family!!) what words Imagine Dragons make. rNight Visions is so much better than Smoke + Mirrors and It?s Time. It combines a bunch of songs from Imagine Dragon?s other albums. Such as the most popular, Radioactive and Demons.rNight Visions portrays a bunch of emotions. Demons gives a dark, Christian feel. While On top of the world makes you feel sky-high. There?s something for everyone in this album! (Even your grandma would enjoy this!) Night Visions is a true masterpiece. (Chica, That album cover is on fleek!)

Not a bad debut from Imagine Dragons. Personally, I hate the new mainstream cookie-cutter alternative rock movement that is happening right now. But I can't deny that this album is decent. There are a few awful tracks here like "On Top of the World" and "Every Night", but most of this album isn't that bad. It's a decent debut.

The amount of passion displayed on "Radioactive" and "Demons" is practically non-existent regarding the rest of Night Visions. Imagine Dragons aren't necessarily a horrendous act by any stretch of one's imagination, though the structure of numerous tracks off this record is so bland they're hardly worth listening to. Maybe if their frontman sounded a bit less like Chris Martin and more akin to himself, then I'd say their debut studio album would be passable at best.

Now this was awesome. It's alternative rock, but they dabbled in a whole bunch of genres in the ~50 minutes it lasted. I wasn't sure what to expect and got to be pleasantly surprised. I love the fact that they managed to be the kind of catchy that would manage to be popular while also being seriously talented and crafting fantastic soundscapes and lyrics around it. The catchiness was either a pleasant side effect or the result of an incredibly talented group of musicians. There were only two songs on the album that weren't great, but everything else was that or better. Totally worth a listen.
