A excellent solo Wu-Tang gem that basically paved the way for "gangsta" rap. Ghostface and Raekwon put in some of their best performances and "Rainy Dayz" is just one of the most perfect rap songs I've ever heard. The only problem is the album feels a tad overstuffed in comparison to "Liquid Swords" and "Enter the Wu-Tang", still this is a fantastic rap album and few records reach this level of infamy and greatness.

Perfect album, even with a few filler tracks. Man this was the shit back in the day. The skits are great, beats are haunting classics, and some of the best, most complex lyrics ever on a record. This changed rap forever, even though it seems alot of dudes weren't paying attention to Shark N!ggaz. All the singles, Knowledge God, Can It be All So Simple, Guillotine, Rainy Dayz, all incredible. The atmosphere on this album is insane, it has a cinematic feel that only the RZA and the Wu could pull off. The only Clan worth listening too  r

This album changed the way I thought about east coast hip-hop. I used to think that east coast rap was all lyricism. Average flow, rough voice, and bad production. Well, I was wrong...except about the lyricism part. Raekwon exhibits good, uptempo flow (Knuckleheadz, Rainy Dayz) to match with his not-too low, not-too high voice (Ice Water, Spot Rusherz) and is assisted by some pretty creative production provided by RZA and Raekwon on tracks like Knowledge with the creeping synths and midnight graveyard theme and Guillotine Swordz with the Arabian feel. A stupid intro, and a few just-decent songs prevent this from being a 4.5 or 5.0. With help from his Wu homies and a few other collaboraters, Raekwon lands a 4.2/5

Some albums is too good to describe. If you haven't heard this album give it a listen. Instant classic. The cassette to this album is worth 330 close to 400 on ebay. I got a copy of this CD is a must have. Hip Hop at its best.

Good, solid album but not nearly on the same level as Liquid Swords & 36 Chambers. I get the feeling that Raekwon is trying too hard to be cool & gangster here and in doing so he isn't writing the silly, creative metaphors that made the Wu-Tang so enjoyable for me. Actually, I've always felt that Raekwon was one of the worst members of the Clan, only outclassing the obviously inept U-God and Masta Killa. Whatever. This is still solid stuff & the opportunity to hear more classic RZA is too good to pass up.
