4.5 superb | breesuschrist | October 17th 11 | personally my favorite WU side project. RZA and company are evil as fuck, to the point where they managed to even separate themselves from other wu-tang in terms of lyrical depravity, and they recorded it for your enjoyment so like it or they'll sew your asshole shut and keep feeding you and feeding you and.....oh rite

0.0 | Bulldog | March 14th 10 | A fairly dead subgenre, horrorcore hip-hop is scarcely found nowadays, not counting finding a good horrorcore album. But back in the early to mid 90's, horrorcore was all the rage. Wiedly considered to be the founding fathers of the genre, Gravediggaz were a relative one-hit-wonder, slightly faltering after their horrorcore classic (and debut) 6 Feet Deep. A semi-concept album, the members each had roles. Prince Paul was "The Undertaker," RZA was "The RZArector," Too Poetic was "The Grym Reaper," and Frukwan was "The Gatekeeper."
It'd be quite harder to run across a better one-two punch production team than Prince Paul and RZA. Minimalistic, haunting production was accompanied by madman lyrics full of stories of mutilation, murder, and revenge. Splendidly enough, this excellent album runs its eerie course in under an hour, clocking in at about fifty minutes.

4.0 excellent | Bedex | November 2nd 21 | A great Wu side project that has lots going on for it, starting with a relatively unique (at the time) and prominent identity based around horror, evil, murders and halloween, as well as some truly excellent tracks. The LP starts strong with a fun, groovy track on 2, already showing the album's spooky tones, and the outright quality on 3 (after the 9 seconds long 1). 4 has a cool intro and unfolds into a relatively generic hip hop track that is hindered by a few awkward bits. 5 has a very ahrd hitting instrumental, but vocals that don't quite match it - a recurring critique here -, and is also very short. There are several of these almost interlude-like tracks that are short but very cool, like the fun and relaxed 10, or the rather evil outro track. The album is very good at alternating hard hitting evil tracks with more relaxed things. 6 is a cool evil jam, and 8 is an excellent relaxed jam, then 9 is a reallly classic horror track. Although this is perhaps the album's peak, there are enough jams all throughout to make the album great overall. 11 is quite ahrd and noisy, but isn't quite a jam, 12 is a cool track but not crazy cool, 13 is one of those hard horrorey tracks where the vocals don't quite measure up to the instrumental, 14 is quite a boppy funky track, and 15 is a slow, cool horror halloween track that only suffers from being a bit gimmicky on the vocals. A strong album overall and lots of strong playlistable tracks. Could grow. 4.1

5.0 classic | afoolonahill | December 16th 14 | 6 Feet Deep oozes fun. The Gravediggaz' shockingly good rhymes are coupled with a halloween-ready
soundtrack that's trippy, yet completely danceable, and never lets up the fun. For me, 6 Feet Deep
has all I could ask for from a hip-hop album.

3.5 great | TheManMachine | October 3rd 13 | Somewhat corny, bordering on ICP-esque shtick, and they say their name way too much. But great beats, raps and production, and a fun listen all the way through, right down to the mutant jam session title track.

5.0 classic | KangarooSong | June 24th 13 | prince paul's production is amazing and varied, the rza's flow is demonically nice, and there's never been so much high-quality gruesome entertainment on one rap album before. complete 5/5.
