Hammock do not rest. Once again a beautiful release made of ambient and post-rock, their 2013 album is not as immediately gorgeous as its two predecessors, yet you'd be a fool not to fall in love.

Honestly, either one of Departure Songs' two discs had more diversity and purposeful direction than this overly-seamless follow-up. There's only so much chest-swelling in a set of compositions that I can take before the whole thing becomes rather repetitive and the emotion is lost. The ambient layers are so over-powering that it sounds like a power-wash on the post-rock whispers.
